Really emotional way to wrap up this incredible season, love seeing the growth from Rudeus!

Big Duval

Someone mentioned waiting to do ep 0 later definitely do not listen to them. It should be watched first as intended.

Big Duval

I feel like Eris sacrificing everything to go be some concubine for that lord is definitely not in her character. So I really don't get why you think she would have done that. Also remember the name of that lord who wanted Eris as a concubine it may or may not come up in ep 0.

Season 2 actually has 25 episodes, including Episode 0. This means there will be very little waiting time before Season 3 starts in the first week of July.

Really, I appreciate and enjoy your reactions and theories here, but you've flanderized the characters a bit too much making them entirely seperate from the characterization and emotions that are actually being portrayed

The way eris left was very much like how Paul sent Rudy away. “If I tried to talk to you, you would have just talked me out of it.” That sorta thing.

The Dude

The main complaint I have for this episode is that they made Rudy seem more shitty for a lack of a better word. In the LN he did help around the village even though he was depressed and broken.

Eris just sucks at communicating. We will learn more eventually.

Enjoyed the reaction! In the episode I loved how they looked in on all the people whose life Rudy positively changed. I agree on Eris: she probably wasn't thinking clearly (lost Rujerd, regained Ghilaine, learns family was dead, first sex experience that maybe brought home that he was younger ("his hands were so small"), the earlier stress of seeing him nearly die and not being able to save him, not wanting to make a scene with Rudeus... Yeah, it was cruel to not consider his feelings -- maybe Eris thought "Rudy will understand me! He's so amazing! He'll read my note and immediately know what I wanted to say but couldn't express!"

I think the reason Eris didn't feel a sense of duty to her domain may be how disconnected she was from everyone growing up. She was a problem child who resented her tutors - or even drove them to kidnap her - and who had a reputation among her peers as being stupid and violent (until 10th birthday). Aside from immediate family and Rudy, she only seems to have spent time with beast people retainers and servants (who were foreigners). She didn't even seem to leave the castle except on a few shopping trips with Rudy. And then the rulers of her land killed her beloved granddad! Now, I think Eris would have sacrificed herself in a moment to save the Doldia tribe, but it looks to me that she never had any connection, or developed any sense of duty or fellowship, with commoners or nobles in her land: all she wanted to do was leave and become an adventurer...

Eris is just terrible at comunicating
