Really interesting seeing how Rudy is trying to deal with this situation, no idea where it will go!

I dont think the OP/ED are too spoilery, no need to close your eyes, just dont over analyze it. Just rewatched it just incase I was wrong. Dude, there are NO spoilers there. Who is even saying that?

Morkt

the 2nd cours opening- around episode 13 or so. Yeah, skip that if you want, probably should. But first cour? Nah the OP/ED are totally fine.

Paul

The OP spoils new characters yet to be introduced, it ain’t much, but it’s there. The ED has some slight plot related spoilers that are resolved in a few episodes, also not much, but are indeed there. 2nd cour OP has much more significant spoilers. Up to him how he handles it. Watch it, skip it, or let it play but don’t look.

Actually, Kishirika did apparently used to look like that, she's been reincarnated over and over though, and her body takes centuries to mature... just a little detail the anime haven't added, at least as yet. Although they have alluded to it in episode 13 dialogue (I have a fiancé in this incarnation).

I've wondered myself about Rudy's "it doesn't even matter whether she (Sara) is dead or alive." That could be taken as him being callous, but we see him healing a random kid earlier in the episode, and signs of a growing friendship with Counter-Arrow. So perhaps it could be read as "even if she's dead, I'm not going stop searching" until he at least found her body to bring back home, and either way he won't have abandoned counter-arrow like Eris did him. It's certainly a line open to interpretation, and mingled together with feelings of abandonment and probably a depressed "why get close to people if they keep leaving or dying" on top of that.

In this episode you get a small glimpse of how powerful Rudeus is when not restricting himself to be non lethal.

Morkt

... no.

I’ll try again to explain how there are minor spoilers. And remember, they don’t come close to matching the major spoilers in the part 2 OP. The part 1 OP spoils characters you haven’t seen yet or don’t know they are going to show up(characters in Episodes 6, 8, and maybe 9). The part 1 ED spoils a character yet to be introduced(episode 6) and 2 characters change in their relationship with Rudy(spoiling the conclusion of episode 7). Just because OPs commonly spoil new characters yet to appear, doesn’t mean it’s not a spoiler. It’s just considered a minor spoiler. EDs rarely spoil, but Mushoku’s EDs specifically all have minor spoilers. The 1st in season 1 showed characters that weren’t introduced yet. The 2nd showed characters that we didn’t know would be reintroduced yet. The season 2 part 1 ED goes further and even shows 2 character’s development before it’s happened. Same with the part 2 ED, it shows a character’s development prior to the episode that it occurs. Everything outside of the part 2 OP are minor spoilers. It’s up to DeliveryMat if he wants to avoid them.

You really needed to talk down like that? Seeing a new character isn't a minor spoiler. Its an inevitability. Try and name off a few anime openings that dont show you characters in the OP before you meet them. There arent many.

Paul

Didn't mean to talk down, your answer was "...no". My only conclusion was that you didn't know or didn't care about what was explained. Bit of a whataboutism, but sure, OPs often have characters spoiled. Plenty of reactors skip them for that exact reason. They sometimes prefer no spoilers, even minor ones. More so if the plot is spoiled like in the part 2 OP. Then they watch the OP when there are no longer spoilers or at the end of the season. It's up to each reactor, not the viewers, to deal with this as they wish. You didn't mention anything about the EDs and them preempting certain plot developments for characters in episodes 7 and 17. Thoughts on whether you consider those to be minor spoilers?
