One of my favorite episodes, so many theories from this exchange!

I liked your theory tying Nanahoshi's comment on the world erasing them (Rudy is skeptical) to Orsted's apparent ability to see the future; I hadn't thought about that idea! If true, it may only apply to her, as her lack of mana or aging is likely what suggested to her or Orsted - it's not clear whose idea this is - that she's a "foreign body". Great episode, clever twists like the languages, the tie-in to the disaster, and Sylphi's reaction, Nanahoshi means "Seven Star" in Japanese; having "Silent Fitz" and "Silent Sevenstar" was confusing but wouldn't be for Japanese speakers, as "Silent Sevenstar" was spoken in English while "Silent Fitz" seemed to often have the "silent" part spoken in Japanese. Like English, Japanese has various words for silent, mute, wordless; I *think* they said "mugon" so "no words Fitz" or "wordless Fitz" might be better, but I may have misheard so I could be wrong!

That scene of Sylphie attacking Nanahoshi is top 2 voice acting moments in the anime so far.

My own idea: I like to think of the summoning and backlash as throwing a big stone into a tank full of goldfish. Nanahoshi is the stone, arriving, and the teleport backlash is the water of the puddle splashing out, and carrying the things that were swimming in the water (people etc.) all over the room... It wouldn't surprise me if one party, god or otherwise, summoned Nanahoshi and her two friends (?) and another sensed this happening and chose to brought in Rudy - maybe as a counterbalance? The main wild card besides Man-God and Orsted mentioned so far is Laplace or any supporters - that was what Pergius in the floating palace remarked ("is someone trying to break the seal on the demon god Laplace?".

From episode 13 onwards, there's a new opening absolutely do not watch it, it's full of spoilers. Watch it after episode 22, as it won't be shown in episodes 23 and 24.

This. Biggest spoiler OP of MT so far...

In episode 8, we got to see Orsted's reaction to the mana cataclysm right before it happened.

Some Kinda Abomination

At 2:25, Luke is obviously taken aback by the info Sylphie just gave them, because we saw in an earlier episode that Luke was mad at Rudy for not remembering Sylphie, now he feels like an idiot for what he said to Rudy back then. Lmao

Before we see Nanahoshi and before its fully confirmed, when Fitz says Silent Sevenstar everything is clear. Nana is seven, hoshi is star. Ah yes and of course - Silent - Shizuka.
