Absolutely mental episode, this was so hype!

Anima

I wish they had included more scenes from the spin-off in this episode; they make the whole thing so much better. I do understand that it doesn't quite work perfectly, since everything is told from the Loki Familia's perspective, but—for instance—when they hear about the Minotaur and rush off, they still could have shown the encounter with Otter. And at the very end, a few extra lines from them certainly wouldn't have hurt and the meeting with the Freya Familia after training

As I put on the last episode, the Aninews video does the best but does contain some spoilers due to when it was made. The most concise way I can explain the level system is: Skills are ranked I to S based on the amount of Excelia (EXP but works slightly different) in that skill. An adventurer requires at least 1 skill at D rank to be eligible for a level up. When they level up all stats are reset to I: 0 power to be leveled again. Levels are distinct power gaps. A level 1 adventurer almost never has the ability to fight a level 2, level 3 vs 4 works the same. However this can be over come in certian circumstances. The actual ability boost from levels is not actually known, but for reference lets say that its 1000 points to all stats. Because the level of a skill from the previous level becomes the basis, if one were to reach over 1000 points in a skill then they could theoretically breach this level gap. Since most adventurers attempt to level up when they have a single D rank skill, this is just not common or likely within the world. On to Bell, first, his stats are all Rank S when he goes INTO the fight with the minotaur. This is important to note because stats do not just increase when you earn excelia, it requires your Famila god to update and allocate the Excelia to the stats. I don't remember if its in the anime or not, but not really a spoiler at this point. A large number of Bells stats after this fight have risen to the SS or SSS rank (breaching that 999 maximum), something that even the Loki familia have never experienced.

15:50 THIS. One of the hypest damn things I’ve seen in the more than 600 anime series and movies I’ve seen. It is paused to type this, but I don’t expect to have dry eyes by the end of this episode. This is the first real moment I look for in a DanMachi reaction. Damn glad to see ya here, Mat.

17:50 I hate Bete. He’s scum, a shithead, and relentless acts the dick. He is legitimately one of the coolest, most complex characters in the DanMachi world. He is strong.

Freya is truly fascinating. And terrifying.
