Sorry for the delay, had a bit of an issue!

What a wild episode, I am really invested in this now!

Very fun episode. They're taking the manga but often adding some extra details and a lot of visual flare. The garbage plot appeared in the movie, with a lot of action, but they left out most of the "slice of life" details. Speaking of that, there's an obscure anime series called Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn, which Shirow contributed to. It's almost a weird GITS-world-adjacent comedy kind of like the relationship between, say, Prisma Illya and the regular Fate series. For Sakamoto Maya, did you ever see her first major role, the impressive shojo fantasy mecha series Vision of Escaflowne? Well worth a watch.
