It's pretty funny that I happened upon a YouTube video from someone who HATES Sota, titled "The WORST Protagonist in Anime." His arguments were pretty spot on. I didn't remember that I kinda hate him, too, until his failings during the last 3 episodes.

6:37 Sota's reply— "Even if you ask me, I don't know because I've never been in that position. It's a difficult situation."

12:10 I LOVE that line of basically "If you didn't feel guilt over what happened, I would want to speak to you." One statement can say so damn much.

15:00 Mat, it is so awesome that you brought this up. It is truly fascinating how stories ACTUALLY come to be. I recall first starting my studies on the occult back at 16 years old, and any good discussion on the force of magick should usually touch kn the power of stories. Some occultists see all that we humans, here and now, "create" are things inspired from the Æther, a realm that touches upon "everything imagined is real." Perhaps "being blessed by our Muse" is merely having an ability to tap into worlds that are untouchable by material means. I don't have a clear hypothesis on the concept, but I do feel the magick within storytelling.

Mat, I REALLY liked your excitement at the end of the video. I am a hopeless slut for a superb crossover event. My only issue is glimpsing so many nonsensical collabs these days that my head just can't connect with. However, if you imagine a world-savung effort of many writers and illustrators unifying to make one end result that all of their hearts are in 101%, how could that not be hype?!? I really should give more fan fictions a chance in the future. Many of my most cherished IPs have fans writing new, impossible stories adding in impossible outside characters, but doing so with fervor and love. Some of those stories HAVE to be amazing! Shiiiiite. Even I have stories like that I hope to write eventually

Japanese manga/anime tends to be very creator-owned with multiple rights-holders as works are adapted from manga or novels to anime, complicating the crossover process. If something like this happened to, say, US superhero comics, they'd have an easier time of it as most rights are corporate-owned and big crossovers between comics, and less frequently, between rival companies, are commonplace events.
