"Adam" and "Link" seem to be references to the early sci-fi classic Adam Link: Robot (1939-1942), an early treatment of AI, by Earl and Otto Binder. (Otto would later write for comics and create Supergirl, among others). Despite a bit of humor, overall a very dark "noir"-episode: yakuza trafficking kids to a greedy corporation, who destroyed their minds to create artificial personalities for robot sex dolls. Seems implied that Adam and LInk may have traded sex with the inspector in order to have him overlook them writing SOS in their blood in the robot casings. Great animation, music, and backgrounds as usual. The baddy submerged in sewage is a good metaphor... Yeah, feels more live-action police/spy drama (reminds me of UK classic The Sandbaggers).
