Alright!!! Double episode by Mat!!!!

28:10 Man, why tf does it feel so nice to have Finn acknowledge Ais's support of Bell?!? Sure, she's a very too serious girl, especially in the anime, but she has clearly found something in Bell that she wants to fertilize and encourage. I guess having it confirmed by a rarely seen side character makes their relationship feel like more than fan service and a gag that makes use of Hestia as comic relief.

Mat, you really nailed it about what can be gotten from the light novels! Between the unadaptable details and the cut content, enjoying the novels after seeing the anime MUST be truly enlightening. I've heard folks tout the DanMachi novels as their ultimate favorite series since I started watching anime, and I believe them. Especially after catching up with the Sword Oratoria manga, which, of course, is VERY not the novels. Still, getting to have narration or little boxes that fill in the gaps of what is happening really, really, really felt like "Eureka!" moments for me, deeply impressing me. I've only gotten thru the volume that parallels the start of season 5, I can say that I got hooked right away. Unfortunately, life happened, and I couldn't just pick back up later. Hearing you remark on reading the novels makes me think that that would be great. After I catch up with Spirit Chronicles. And Eminence in Shadow. And Re: Zero. And SAO. Yeah....DanMachi...sometime....after that?

30:40 Dude!!! Right here, waaaay deep in the background noise, I can hear the same bell tone that is used for Argonaut!! I've never noticed it before, and I've watched this episode.......a lot! So, suddenly noticing it made my brain tremble.

35:00 So.... I love the idea of the Xenos calling out a signal, and the whole city going on full alert. And....nothing happens. How great would that be?!?!? Would Loki Familia be puzzled by no one making a move, or might Finn think that the monsters had managed to sneak away? What if the Xenos called out for like 3 nights in a row, while moving around to stay safe, and on the fourth night, there was no signal??!??!?? I just tingle at the resulting stress and bewilderment of those who were out to hunt the monsters that hid in the city. I think it would make for VERY entertaining content.

40:59 I LOVE Aki!!! While I do have a real affection for nekobabes in general, Aki is lovable from her behavior and strength. Also, her real name is Anakitty Autumn!!!
