I guess Roxanne has no breasts since she's never been finished... and yet, she has her own charm...

I think she is a character with very low body fat so commissioner wanted her to have pecs rather than breasts? But the commissioner is also an artist and kept giving revisions until they decided to just draw her themselves. Hence abandoned comm.

Ow. That sound most disrespectful to me. Having a fellow artist waste their time on revisions, only to give up in the end and say "I'm gonna draw it myself"? Rude! And you're wasting the time an artist would have spent on another client's work. I'd feel horrible should I do something like that... and I'm thankful none of my clients ever behaved like that.

Well, a lot of the trick of commissions is trying to draw a better version of the imaginary image in commissioner's head. And an artist has a much clearer vision of that, so trickier to do.

True that! Before starting I prefer to show about 4 or 5 different sketches just so the client may choose the pose, scene etc. they like most. That way we can work together until the core of the picture is ready!
