New Agents pitch pages (Patreon)

I met Will Corona Pilgrim at a writer/artist meetup at Wondercon. It was sort of a speed dating setup where a lineup of artists sat and talked to a rotating lineup of writers, with writers pitching comic ideas and artists showing portfolios. We both thought we could work together and stayed in touch.

From 2019 to 2022 we collaborated on some pitch pages for a proposed comic series: New Agents. It was an idea of mine that I had never advanced- three women with the powers of mind, body and spirit, who solve physical, mental and psychic conundrums. Will wrote up a short story, I illustrated it and we hired Raciel Avila Silva to do the color work.

Here are the 4 pages at various stages of production: in finished lettered form, colors, inks, layouts and preliminary layouts, as well as some drawings of the cast.

These took me a long time to get finished due to other comic projects at the time- Savage Hearts and Stud and the Bloodblade- as well as family and world events going a bit crazy.

Will and I have another comic project in the fire currently, though it is very, very far on the back burner until I finish Free Planet.
