2003 Dark Elf: digital paint over a pencil sketch- a profile of a dark elf lady- drawn for Elfwood, which I dabbled with for a few years back then.

2003 Sylvestrus: digital paint over a pencil sketch of my Dungeons and Dragons character Sylvestrus the were-stag. I think I only played him for one evening: the party got transported to a strange land, where a coven of vampires offered us a deal we couldn't refuse. Since his main character trait was that he was a cursed coward, Sylvestrus just turned into a deer and ran away, refusing the call to adventure.

2006 Comic page sort of: pencil and marker comic page sketch of a shiney latex lady and a beanied thug. This looks like I was trying to figure out how to draw a Howard Chaykin style layout.

2006 Strongwoman and companion: pencil sketch of a big strong woman with kind of huge arms, and her companion (who is also strong, I am sure, just not with big muscles.)

2006 Kendra: pencil sketch of Kendra Saunders. Chaykin was drawing an arc of Hawkgirl at this time, so I took a try at drawing the character, because monkey see, monkey do.

2010 Iron Joan: color pencil sketch of Iron Joan, a beast giantess who showed up in my 1990s 'zine Uncertain Stories. She was created as a pun on Iron John and the men's movement that was going on at the time, where guys would go into the forests, beat drums and talk about masculinity and its discontents. Joan mainly existed as a monster to run out of the forests and drag people out of the comic. This is a later, non-nude version of her- what possible reason could a wild spirit have for wearing a bikini (other than passing a nsfw filter on some website or other)?

2012 Brutalla: ink drawing and digital color over inks. Even though the file is named Brutalla, this is pretty clearly an early version of Termagant, Fisticuff's boss-villain.

2015 Night Elf rough sketches: pencil sketch and a pencil and marker sketch, drawn preparatory to a rendered pencil commission of a Warcraft Night Elf on the battlefield.

2018 Dillo: marker sketch of Dillo, Stud's faithful companion and mount for the Stud and the Bloodblade comic.

2018 Witchtress: marker sketch of Witchtress, one of the main villains of Stud and the Bloodblade. She was the one who cursed Stud, so that unless he spilled blood with his weapon, the mighty Bloodblade, he would transform into the Wretched Gary, a doomed replica of Witchtress's own son, who due to Stud's negligence died while playing with the selfsame Bloodblade! It's operatic, man.
