Chapter 27 of Witchcraft and Devilry, in which Voldemort makes his move, Harry counters him, and the two begin their long-awaited confrontation as Hermione and Luna focus on summoning Rias, leading to an infuriating revelation for Hermione and a chance for Harry to have a very important conversation.

funny thing would be if Akeno or Rias finished Voldemort with rage, "killing" Harry marked one of them as equal, and Akeno being half-human qualifies as parents defying Voldemort ideals of purity, now being creative. That would made Dumbledore go batshit crazy if prophecy was fullfiled that way.

My goodness was this a fantastic thrill of a chapter. The climatic battle of Harry and Tom Riddle, Most of the Death Eaters are dying or going to end up dead, Draco paid for his stupidty and got to say him getting the snape special from the movies was icing on that cake, and Tom just killed his last link to him being immortal and I cannot wait for Harry to taunt him with that Knowledge. I am excited for Harry to become reborn as a Devil and of course for us to move into the DxD side of things once the Harry Potter side wraps up.

Your smut scenes are perfectly written so I don't mind if we don't get some for awhile. After all plot still needs to happen and the plot here is fantastic.

He most likely won't need it. He is probably going to be revived as a Devil soon and that alone will boost his already immense magical power even further. I have no clue what piece he will end up being my guess is either a pawn or a bishop if Rias has any more of those. I believe it was mentioned in a previous chapter that Luna and Hermione will end up being pawns as well. Harry will more than likely need more than one piece to be reincarnated given he is stronger than both of them.

Press X to doubt on him actually becoming a devil. Sirzechs couldn't destroy the resurrection stone due to it being a higher tier of power surprisingly. Combine it with the foreshadowing of Harry's soul being touched by another "devil" earlier in his life, combined with the tidbit of Adjuka broadening the magic search results to include gods powers that might have touched Harry's soul that took months to get a result..... It's more likely Harry is the nascent heir of the god of death. Which means in order for it to be realised he'll need to obtain the elder wand. I imagine when Harry goes to have a piece put in him sometime soon it'll be rejected again. If it is, consider that full proof of what I speculate.

I'm guessing that Dumbledore finally arrives at the tail end of the battle against voldie, he sees the devil's which leads to a duel against Harry where Harry ends up disarming him since he is not trying to kill Dumbledore and gains the elder wand.

For those of us who've been waiting for this showdown, I think the consensus will be, Well Worth It!! Meanwhile, Hermione has gotten revenge for her parents' death, while learning it was something she would willingly do. Harry has the chance to speak to his parents, we have no idea what Ron and the Gryfindor rescue squad are up to - though I think an encounter with Bellatrix and Koneko is quite likely - and we still don't know what Ajuka Beelzebub discovered that will probably make this seeming grand finale turn out to be a prequel to who knows what? Oh, and we're promised more sex scenes in the foreseeable future. Granted, I'm quite willing to wait a bit longer since the story has me waiting so blasted impatiently already for the next episode but I won't turn it down when offered.

Um, Sirzechs mentioned Voldilocks having made eight horcruxes. Was that just a typo or is there yet another plot twist waiting in the wings?

That was a typo. I probably meant to say that he cut his soul into eight pieces, changed my mind about how to word that mid sentence, and then didn't notice the error. Thanks for pointing it out.

Absolutely excellent chapter! I love what you did with Malfoy, way too many authors refuse to actually let the little shit face justice for his many, many crimes.

The best cliffhangers are also the most infuriating because you hate waiting for what comes next. By that standard, this was, I think you'll agree, a truly excellent cliffhanger. Blast it all!
