Chapter 27 of Delightful Duty in which Daemon and Jon finally move against the gathering forces of the Triarchy, joined by Corlys and, to their surprise, Rhaenys. As their enemies take the bait left for them, the Queen Who Never Was, has a frank conversation with Jon, who finds her aim for it very surprising.

Well that was an interesting setup at the end of this chapter, wonder where it will lead now? Hopefully to a somewhat more peaceful conclusion with Dorne instead of more violence, given how badly that usually ends. Qoren Martell genuinely seems to get wiser as he got older given his historical response to being offered to join the Dance of the Dragons and I know Viserys once considered offering him Rhaenyra's hand to bring them into the Realm, something Jon and Rhaenyra should think about since Daeron the Good's historical unification isn't an option in this timeline 😅

I was on the edge of my seat for the batle. It was everything we hoped for & more. Rhaenys participating in the battle, giving her blessings for Jon/Nyra, confirmation on Alys getting in Daemon/Laena bed👨‍🍳👄. Now for the world reaction particularly the Iron born, is that going to deter them, or they will Balon it & attack anyway?

Awesome, awesome chapter

Love the Chapter. It was everything I expected and wanted from this Chapter. The battle was well done the interaction between Jon and Daemon as well as Jon and Rhaenys was excellent. The ending was prefect for the set up for the next chapter which will no doubt about the fallout from the battle. Personally I hope that Dorne joins by marriage by asking/begging to marry into House Targaryen since they have another very old and powerful dragon on their side. Jon and Rhaenyra should have the Triarchy pay in gold and glass to get peace by doing that Jon and Rhaenyra can pay/start improving the sewer system of King's Landing and the glass would be sent to the North to make new glass gardens to improve their food supply thus improving Rhaenyra and Jon's standing with the Northern Lords.

I don’t understand what’s the plan with letting the dornish ship leave… But loved the chapter nonetheless! The battle was great and I’m glad Jon has Rhaenys’ blessing to wed Rhaenyra
