Chapter 30 of Delightful Duty, in which Jon and Rhaenyra arrive in Blackhaven to set up the next stage of their plan, while a vengeful Prince Qoren and his advisors debate whether or not her presence is a trap and, back in Dragonstone, Daemon and Laena make a fascinating discovery.

Starting to feel bad for the Dornish given what they're fighting against, Qoren genuinely seemed to learn his lesson by the Dance of the Dragons in the original timeline so I hope he and enough of his advisors survive long enough to learn it here 😅

I truly hate the martell, they are truly vicious and ugly snakes that dont know what is the honor i dont know why the other houses dont rebel when there are houses as strong as they

I like the discovery by daemon and Laena. Man, Rhaenyra is going to be pissed off that they found Visenya’s secret library when she couldn’t, with the entrance right there in her chambers no less! Lol! A couple things I do wonder though and/or food for thought, are you going to have Daemon and Laena learn either the Path of Fire or the Path of Stone since they have found the secret stash of scrolls in Rhaenyra’s chambers. And the other is since Jon is actually of The North and a Stark by blood as well, are you somehow going to tie The North into this story at some point soon or just wait until the dance actually kicks off for the alliance to solidify? When I say that I mean like if Rhaenyra will take another lady in waiting from the north, do another big project like a canal or glass gardens or something else like introduce rice for a more stable food stuff for winter or even something else original? Either way good story and hope the next come soon. Can’t wait.

That's only like half the Martell's, the other half is often quite reasonable and rationale, kind of like House Targaryen. It's also not unfair for them to be fearful of the rest of the Seven Kingdoms after the First Dornish War 😅

It would be nice to see the North Again, and maybe have the Starks of this era wonder if Jon is related to them when they see him 🤔

No boundaries at all😂 Rhaenyra is going to curse them out . I thought they found her test subject . No, instead they find the hidden lore of Visenya herself! That cliffhanger was a demon , I was ready for the motion . Also naming that bird Laenor had to be an insult , what a terrible name 😂.

Love the update. Just my thoughts on what's going to happen next.. Jon and Rhaenyra confront the Dornish forces in a trap that they set with the help of Blackhaven and capture a almost half of the ruling lords of Dorne or very important relatives of the other halve thus making a massive case for Jon to be legitimized and become Jon or a more Targaryen name like Jaehaerys "Jon" Targaryen. As for Laena and Daemon they have found a lost library of Valyrian knowledge that the Valyrians placed on Dragonstone and in their other colonies to serve as a "doomsday" safe guard in case the Freehold had to be rebuilt from the ground up which will lead to Laena and Daemon on a quest to recover the other libraries in the other colonies aka the Free Cities using a map of there locations to prevent the knowledge within from falling into their hands and to aid Jon in his work to make Valyrian Steel in this safe guard vault is a properly designed and ready Valyrian forge for him and Morghul. Lastly just an idea Rhena could meet with Viserys and offer to foster Helaena as a means of easing tensions between Rhaenyra and Alicent with her serving as a "neutral" party plus as the only adult female Targaryen aside from Rhaenyra Rhena can teach Helaena things that a female Targaryen needs to know especially since she has bonded to Dreamfrye.

Would you believe i somehow lost that update? Reiterating Gary Brown idea, of Daemon & Laena going to look & finding other cache of Valerian libraries that hopefully the drotrakies haven't found yet. That would give them mini adventures & if treasure are included could add into N'ira pot for her project, while also widening Daemon business. As KrimzonHawka Qoren learn his lesson by the dance, having him lose most of his companion getting into a short war with the Tagaryen hopefully he learns his lesson earlier ittl.
