Chapter 32 of Delightful Duty, in which Viserys summons Rhaenyra and Jon to King's Landing, demanding an explanation for what happened, and they present him and the Small Council with the terms they worked out with Qoren. As that matter gets settled, Daemon and Laena confront them both about magic and they give them even more of an explanation than they'd expected.

We can only hope that when he finds out everything he gets so ticked off that he has a heart attack that if it doesn't kill him causes Alicent to go to Old Town to be with him which will give Jon and Rhaenyra some much needed peace away from her plus depending on when they wed it could keep Alicent from ruining Rhaenyra's second wedding day.

Love the Chapter just hope that we get the wedding that we have been hoping for next chapter. Personally for the wedding chapter I would have Jon give a gift he forged for Rhaenyra, Rhaenyra giving a gift to the Arryns in her plans to wipe out/pacify the hill tribes with Jon which they just need to convince her father, and lastly Helena wanting to spend more time with her sister uses her own powers of persuasion on Viserys and convinces him to let her foster with her sister. Only critic of the chapter that I have is that Jon should have given examples of things that Daemon did that only Daemon would know to convince him that he is from the future.

Hah, can't wait to see Otto's reaction to everything that's happened, when he hopefully gets here next chapter. Would be interesting to see how the other Greens and lean greens like Tyland and Larys react and calculate based on what's happened after the legitimation as well, and if Otto senses the Green Alliance start to fray, especially once Jon and Rhaenyra's wedding is also announced 🤔

Makes me wonder if the Greens would be stupid enough to try to kill Jon before the wedding.

It's an idea they might be desperate enough to contemplate but Otto and the rest would know killing Jon in the Red Keep under Viserys nose would give Daemon and Rhaenyra an excuse to purge House Hightower right afterwards, the same reason why they didn't try it at Dragonstone at the time. I do expect he'll try to respond somehow and look forward to seeing how it plays out. Maybe that whole Ironborn Necromancy plotline will converge and cause them to reach out and Conspire with the Greens as they try to counter Rhaenyra basically having Dorne as her reluctant ally on top of everything else.

Maybe, but the Greens working with the IronBorn would really ruin things for them.

You're not wrong there but the Ironborn Necromancy is the only plot thread I could see that would equalize the playing field (they'd use and secretly support the Ironborn by proxy of course and reluctantly promise to grant them independence after they killed Jon and Aegon took the throne) that wouldn't risk their destruction. But that's still long shot and not something I want to get into immediately. I'd rather focus on Jon and Nyra's wedding and honeymoon for the next few chapters, maybe having them finally see their Pentos Mansion while arranging the new trade agreement between Pentos and Dorne 😁

Wedding plans are back in place🥳. Jon's casual threat to the green in a hypothetical scenario is 🧑‍🍳💋. Here's hoping Otto suffers a heart attack reading the news, sideliding Alicent, at least for a while (whether he actually dies or not). Daemon & Laena know!!! Her 1st question being about Laenor is honestly valid, & something the 2 need to keep in mind if they are thinking to take Corlys & Rhaenys in their confidence. Daemon daemoning, promising himself 'War' if his wife died, not if she died & they get Vaghar😆. Daemon, upon hearing war after Viserys caused the death of the dragons: I should have gone over to Rhaenys😂.

This story is the whole reason I have a subscription to your patreon. The plot for the story is so good and interesting. This is a story that is unique—I don’t feel like I’ve read this 1 million times before. I’m really interested to see what happens next; how Damon and Laena react to more of Jon’s future history of their house and to see what other magic you might have them discover from the library. I would be interested to see Jon and Daemon go beyond the wall, maybe recruit some giant clans, maybe some Children of the Forest!?! I really hope that the God that sent Jon to the past decides to be like you’re doing well and send ghost to him. It would be really awesome if we saw ghost with a mate and baby direwolves, I would love that so much. Absolutely amazing new chapter. I LOVE this story and get so excited for each new chapter.

I reread the newest chapter again…it’s so good. I love the small council meeting where Jon subtly threatens Team Green. I’m worried Daemon is not going to believe Jon about being from the future, so I was thinking of future events he has or could have knowledge of that could provide evidence that he is telling the truth. 1. Blood and Cheese 2. Adam and Alyn of the Hull. 3. Cregans uncle trying to usurp him. 4. He could remember how morning hatched for Rhaena and find her egg earlier for her
