Chapter 6 of Frightening Brilliance, in which Tywin shows up in King's Landing just as all hell is about to break loose. As Tragedy strikes, Myrcella reels from it and Jon, shocked into realizing that he can't keep up what he's been doing forever, plans to leave, much to the dismay of the princess and his sisters.

This chapter did not disappoint. Myrcella is really clever in this story; she has all the best qualities of Cersei without any of the negatives. Can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter.

This was quite an amazing chapter with many twists some hilarious like Joffrey choking on an acorn somehow which honestly he deserves good riddance to that pest but sadly Tommen getting crushed by the boar. I can imagine how distraught Jaime was arriving too late to save his sons and knowing or at least suspecting Cersei's hand in this tragedy though she was targeting Robert she got too greedy and paid the price for it as she enacted that self fulfilling prophecy she was told by the witch as a young girl. Now Myrcella is going to be Queen and it would seem that not only is she going to take Jon as her husband and learned of his Targaryen blood but Ned decided not to announce Stannis as the next heir and keep Myrcella's status as a bastard and child of Incest to himself which ironically will probably save his life as the only reason he was killed was because he told Cersei to her face that he knew her deepest darkest secret but even then she was willing to grant him mercy if he left but it was Joffrey being the prick he was that killed him. Lots of decisions are going to change everything going forward and I am most eager to see how Daenerys fits into this as I am sure she's going to pop up eventually and perhaps knowing Jon is a Targaryen will cause her to seek him out.

It's what Joffrey deserves honestly. I am sad that Tommen had to die but unfortunate casualty in Cersei's assassination attempt.

Sansa can marry Loras, and Renly can marry Margery. And they can all come and live in Queen Myrcella's Court. Though the Dornish may insist that it be made Queen Myrcella's & Queen Arianne's Court...

Are we sure that Myrcella isn't Robert's daughter that yell was definitely loud enough to be a Baratheon's? Myrcella will have an easier time taking power since with her brothers death Cersei will be in shock and likely catatoic please Tywin is there to keep her from doing anything stupid.

This was AMAZING. I’ll be honest I was wondering if you’d be able to keep momentum but you blew me away. I loved this, and I cannot wait to see where it goes from here! Seeing Jon learn of his heritage, Tywins reaction (honestly I see him turning this to his advantage and backing it which would further cement his control over his granddaughter), Cersei being dead set against it, and watching the Starks bring northern sensibility into what’s been happening. Plus seeing Marcella and her crew handle the debt is actually really catching my interest and I hope it reads even half as well as the rest of this has. As usual you nail the characterizations dead on, excellent job!
