Fun fact: The actor who played Gus submitted this episode for consideration for the Emmy for outstanding supporting actor but he lost due to Aaron Pauls amazing performance in S4 Ep. 12. That Episode is also considered to be one of the best television episodes of 2011. Can‘t wait for you guys to see it 😀

Thank you Jordan! That opening scene for Walter talking with that random stranger is, in my opinion, on of his most important moments in the show.. just gives you a thought into how he feels about his life at that moment and going forward.

Hey guys…a little late to the party, but yes, the scholarship was indeed named after Maximino Arciniega, Gus’ business partner who was shot by Hector. It is inferred that Max was also Gus’ “partner”, which explains why Gus hates Hector even more . Another fun fact: Breaking Bad uses their actors and crew’s last names or sometimes full names for their character names. Hector was played by Mark Margolis. Jane’s last name (and her Father) was Margolis. The actor who played Krazy 8 is named Max Arciniega. There are some more I believe, but I can’t recall at the moment

Man, this episode was so good. Ya I agree with others that Gus partner was his "partner" as well. I must be a complete weakling as I don't think I could ever act like Walt or Gus if my ego and manhood were questioned like theirs were. That seems to be all that is holding those 2 together...their egos, machismo and their unrelenting need to feel in charge. Thanks for the watch.
