Heck yeah! I know what I'm doing at work! I love the lore dump in this movie, like movie 2 and we're already getting a ton of information. But maybe steer clear of the polyjuice potion since you guys have a cat 😹

Joshua Gideon

Where do you watch the extended editions

Hans Engelen

If my information is correct Peacock and Amazon Prime have it (if you wanted streaming) but doublecheck as it is always a gamble with regions playing a role in availability. Other then that you can get it in physical copies of course ... There were a few places online that you could watch them too for free but well ... that's usually short lived...

Joshua Gideon

All I can find are regular editions on Amazon Prime and Crave both in Canada

Hans Engelen

I don't think this is actually the extended edition. Mine is 2 hours and 54 minutes so ... deffo a difference with my extended version.

MaplenutsReact

Hey everyone! Just to clarify a few things, I put the wrong runtime in initially so sorry about that!! It's been corrected now. Also, I watched the bluray version if that helps. I thought it was the extended edition, but now I'm not so sure? Sorry for all the confusion!

King_Panarisi

Thank you, 2h40 is the theatrical cut and 2h54 is the extended.

Ian Forbes

Yes, they used some animatronics for certain shots of the Basilisk and for much of the Phoenix (Richard Harris (Dumbledore) apparently even believed the Phoenix was real per some anecdotes from the HBO 20th anniversary reunion special which would be a fun reaction from you after the movies are done)

Ian Forbes

You should definitely take the house sorting quiz over at Harry Potter.com. (maybe you’re a Ravenclaw like me. 😃) The house characteristics I copied from google are: Gryffindor: Values bravery, chivalry, loyalty, and helping others. Gryffindors are known for being "good guys" who stand up for what's right. Hufflepuff: Values hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play. Hufflepuffs are known for being dedicated and loyal. Ravenclaw: Values intelligence, knowledge, planning ahead, and wit. Ravenclaws are known for being eccentric and for producing many great wizarding inventors and innovators. Slytherin: Values ambition, cunningness, heritage, and resourcefulness. Slytherins are known for being ambitious, shrewd, and possibly destined for greatness.

Cliff Adams

I am Ravenclaw. Every test/quiz tells me so. Griffindor values courage, nerve, and chivalry. Hufflepuff values hard work, patience, justice, and loyalty. Ravenclaw values intelligence, learning, wisdom, and wit. Slitherin values ambition, cunning, leadership, and resourcefulness. You missed watching the end of credits scene, at 2:40:22 ... a cute joke.

Be honest: You're doing these movies so you have an excuse to make Jordan look after the baby for a while didn't you? :P

Wade Wallenstein

This is going to be such a wonderful journey into the Wizarding World! I've watched these several times over the years and it's great seeing somebody get into it. One of the parts left out from the book is that the Bedroom Harry has for the rest of the series is actually Dudley's old "Toyroom." As you can imagine, he didn't let it go easily lol

icekaps

Just a heads up: You'll see a new actor (Michael Gambon) playing Dumbledore for the remainder of the movies, as Richard Harris, who played him so wonderfully for the first two films, passed away in 2002 before production of the 3rd film began.

MaplenutsReact

Hahaha, there is something very relaxing about getting to sit back and just watch a fantastic movie with you folks, with no worries in the world

MaplenutsReact

Oh! A reunion of all the characters!? That sounds fun!

MaplenutsReact

Oh dang! I'll keep an eye out for end of credit scenes for the other ones. I can't wait to find out my house... Ravenclaw sounds pretty awesome. I honestly have no clue what I'll be haha

MaplenutsReact

Ha! What a little brat. I love learning extra things like that... Makes me super excited to read the books after!

Cliff Adams

Chamber of Secrets is the only Harry Potter film with an end of credits scene.

Ian Forbes

Yeah, it’s both a reunion (bring tissues), and a look back at each film including discussions with each of the directors as they talk with different cast members. And it’s really well produced, HBO did not skimp on production value.

Simone's Coconut Squire

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the Peacock versions are “unofficial” extended editions which are exclusive to Peacock and that the only movie with an “official” extended edition is the first.

Wade Wallenstein

The Dursley's are so much worse in the books lol

David

My favorite movie of all time!
