Evening Folks!Last week's poll winner was The Goonies! We've heard this movie is an absolute classic, so we're both very excited to watch it! For this poll we were wanting to watch another war movie. We've got so many to catch up on, so what better time than the present! These 4 movies were the most recommended by you all on previous war movie polls, so we're really curious to see which one wins!

Schindler’s list takes place during a war but it’s not a war film. It’s a straight drama about pure evil. It deserves a watch for sure.

I’m happy with anything that is not Apocalypse Now. Excellent film but it is so disturbing that I never want to watch it again. And I’ve seen every Game of Thrones episode about 10 times over.

Everyone, everyone should watch schindlers list, a learning and to not forget about the situation that happened, so that we are not doomed to repeat it

Schindler's List isn't a war movie. It's a war adjacent movie. For that reason I voted for Platoon but I assume Schindler's List will win.

Apocalypse now is one of my favourite films of all time so it's got my vote!

I agree that Schindler's List isn't per se a war movie. I do hope you have the time to watch all of these films at some point. They all show the human cost of conflict, the dangers of unchecked power, the futility and inhumanity of battle, the effects of war on society, and the moral issues raised by war. They also show the brutal realities of combat, highlighting the physical and psychological toll on soldiers and civilians alike. The films are good reminders about the enduring power of the human spirit and the importance of empathy.

Best war movie is not on this poll, it's: "Hacksaw Ridge", based off of true events.

Very loosely based on true events. Just like every other Mel Gibson film. Still a solid flick though. Not in my top 5 war movies, but to each their own.

Yes, very loosely, I won't lie, but it's still in a great movie, at least to me, to each their own though, won't argue about which movie is better, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, it's like arguing over music, it's subjective.

Because none of it happens on the frontlines like say Hacksaw Ridge or FMJ or SPR. It is war adjacent because the events onscreen occur around the war but not within the war.
