HECK YEAH, GUARDIANS TIME! ⋆⭒˚.⋆🔭I am soooo ready for this. Love me some Guardians of the Galaxy. I think I'm most excited for more Groot, and the new soundtrack... the music in the first one was so perfectly curated, so I'm thinking this one is going to have some real bangers too, right!? I'm also very tempted to try find the vinyl for these soundtracks. That would be such a fun addition to our small collection!!

Oliver

This is probably my favorite MCU movie. Excited to watch it after work!

Brad Shelton

I don't know if they are still in print but I have the vinyl and more appropriately the cassettes of Vol.1 and Vol.2. I forgot to look for Vol.3 so I am going to do that now LOL. EDIT: all of them still seem to be available on amazon in vinyl and cassette and I have now ordered my missing Vol.3's

Fun little tidbit of trivia - Laura Haddock (Meredith Quill) appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger as a fan getting an autograph. So my headcanon is that Peter Quill's grandma met Captain America

Mantis is my favorite part of this movie. Pom Klementieff is just adorable in general. And she's a badass too. She got her skydiving license, which requires 25 jumps. On her final day, she did her last nine jumps with Tom Cruise! As of now, she's made over 233 jumps!

John Colson

I have the first 2 soundtracks on vinyl. You should also check out the Spotify Playlist that James Gunn released during the pandemic. It's filled with songs of the era of the first 2 movies as well as a couple that appeared in the 3rd a few years later. The Playlist is on Spotify and it's named - Meredith Quill's Complete Awesome Mix SO GOOD!

David Fürstenberg

I'm not sure, but I think Kevin Feige confirmed it to be true.

Fun Fact: When the characters danced during the credits, another person who wasn't in the movie was also seen. He appears in the next movie, but for spoiler reasons, I won't say who he is.

Nathan Jasper

That'd be so cool if it is official!

Don't even bother with the poll ... Watch the Expanse. It is one of the best (if not the best) SciFi series in a LOOOOONG time. Utterly captivating and most certainly something you will love. The amazing thing is most of the actors on there are total unknowns. And then there is a few iconic ones. Shohreh Aghdashloo being one of my all time favorites in her role. But also Wes Chatham (he was in the last couple Hunger Games movies) and Jared Harris (he was in some of the Sherlock Holmes movies with RDJ as Moriarty, but has been around for a long time having for instance also had a role in The Last Of The Mohicans or Oceans Twelve) ... It's good to see him get recognized more of late.

And Thomas Jane who early 2000s comic movie lovers will remember as The Punisher :) it's definitely a great show.

Nathan Jasper

That line was also the quickest to burn out because everyone used it all over social media LOL and had a brief resurgence when Mary Poppins Returns came out

Derwin Riley

I need that poll for Stranger Things lol

N.T. Stars

Man, I love the fact that Rocket spent the first movie riding on Groot's shoulder and Groot spent this movie riding on Rocket's shoulder.

Alan Black

Your pure, unadulterated joy at watching this film is SO damn infectious!

Remember, This movie was set in the year 2014, the year the Guardians met EGO and Mantis, and when Yondu died. Also, when the Guardians picked up Nebula from The Sovereign, it was the year 2014. Lastly, when the after-credit scene showed Teenager Groot playing a video game, the scene lets the audience know it is now the year 2017.

Sorry, I couldn't stomach that one Derwin. I have no clear idea why, some shows just don't land with me. And Nathan you are right how could I forget that.

Ya the music is great! This group is my favorite of the MCU team ups. Thanks! I'm so glad this one was particularly fun for you. Guardians are such a breathe of fresh air, especially after the heavy Civil War.

Patrick

First time commenting because this is one of my favourite MCU movies and your reaction was so great. I've been really enjoying the ride and can't wait for all that's next.

Not only is David Hasselhoff a singer, he's one of the most popular artists of all time in Germany. They LOVE his music there for some reason.

I loved Mantis too! I wouldn't have guessed the actress is so hardcore, that's awesome!

MaplenutsReact

MaplenutsReact

MaplenutsReact

It's been recommended a whole bunch, and I would definitely love to watch it... Next time we do a tv poll we'll have to add it!

BloodSwine

everyone misses Howard hahha at the end

PNWKyle

Such a fun movie and reaction. The part of the MCU I never knew I wanted, yet it is now indispensable. More fun ahead!

Wade Wallenstein

This was such a great film to watch in the theater! Truly cinematic. If you want something really hilarious watch "Guardians' Inferno" on YouTube.

Darian Harman

I honestly don't think I could ever put into words how much this film means to me. While this film may certainly have been made with four quadrants in mind, and just about anyone can enjoy it; there's definitely a subset of people who know that it was made for them, specifically. There are several scenes that stood out to me when watching this in the theater (multiple times, of course), but upon re-watching it, the scene in which Peter plays catch with his father was treated with so much reverence. The slow-motion, the joy and the magic--I don't know anything about James Gunn's relationship with his father, but the way that was directed just makes me feel so seen and understood. I cry during that scene, every single time, because it was so cathartic. I had no dad to play catch with, but I had the best mom ever. For certain people, with certain experiences, this movie is so much more than fun and imaginative. It's powerful.

MaplenutsReact

I think you're absolutely right. There's a lot of hidden depth to these movies - so many moments like that that give me chills or bring tears to my eyes ❤️

Brutally Goofy Buddha

This one is better than the first, which is almost hard to believe...😋

I am here, now, as a Maplenuts Honey Nut Patreon Member (and I plan to increase that membership amount once my benefits come at the beginning of September) recommending a few series myself, one of which I vowed not to recommend again on your YouTube account since I hadn't gotten a response (didn't want to seem annoying...😋): The Magicians Fabulous show about a group of young college-aged people set in a magical world akin to the world of Harry Potter, albeit with obvious influences from C.S. Lewis' Narnia tales. However, this is not a children's magical show. It's definitely for adults...😏 Altered Carbon Great Science Fiction show about a distant future exploring lots of ethical dilemmas in an action-packed thriller. The Expanse Another Science Fiction show with a little bit more hard science fiction, that's more an adventure story packed within a political thriller. And finally, Sense8 I'll simply say this show will blow your mind. Made by the Wachowskis of The Matrix fame, it will blow your mind...😋

Brutally Goofy Buddha

And even if you don't react to these shows (because I'm fully aware your reactions need to draw an audience and these are all very old shows and outside of The Expanse are very niche) I highly recommend you at least watch them. The Magicians, especially I KNOW you two would absolutely love even if there isn't a major audience out there to watch you react to it.

Jayson Phillips

Magicians is like an adult Harry Potter meets Narnia meets Alice in wonderland

MaplenutsReact

This is great, thank you for all the recommendations!! It's harder for us to get back to YouTube comments, though I'm trying to make the time! What's the series you recommended there? I'm so curious!
