Time for a scaaaaary movie! We both loved this movie so so so much! Yes, it's terrifying and has some very gruesome stuff haha, but there's also a wonderful story and such well written characters. Jordan mentions he recently finished reading the book, so I think it was extra fun for him getting to compare the two!

So excited for this. Awesome that Jordan read the book before hand. This was my first Stephen King book, so ya it scarred me as a young teenager. If you haven't read them yet, I highly reccomend the Dark Tower series (8 main books and 2 offshoots) or The Stand by King as well for reading suggestions. Both great, and The Stand and IT tv series' from the 90s still really hold up. You might even check out The Running Man short story as the new remake movie is coming out soon. Thanks guys! EDIT: I love how they show that no kid has a good encounter with an adult. All the kids with their parents, the pharmacist, librarian...Really shows that in the kids minds, you can't trust any adults.

Really excited for this one! Love this movie!

Sorry nope, this genre is not for me. I just don't find it enjoyable (and frankly boring). All but say something like the line of Scream movies. Then again that might be because of Neve Campbell ... shrug. At any rate I do wish a good time to those who do enjoy this. Have fun.

I don't watch the movies you've named either, but we all have a choice. Instead of voicing your resentment and condescending tone towards those who enjoy Jordan and Chandra's reactions, maybe you could suggest what genre or titles you would like to see in future reactions or polls. It's no guarantee, of course - no movie I've ever suggested has won a poll on any channel but there's still plenty of films that others have chosen that I still enjoy.

Awesome!

Ehm thanks I guess ... But I meant it. See I actually don't mind it at all. So maybe don't assume the worst of people.

I've read The Stand a few months ago and loved it! I also just finished reading The Running Man last week. I'm working on Firestarter right now (also great!), and the Dark Tower is definitely on my radar. I'll probably pick it up this fall. I'm trying to balance the longer King books like The Stand and Under the Dome with shorter ones, and the Dark Tower seems like the longest of all. Thanks for the suggestions! -J

Totally forgot about Under the Dome. Awesome!

I didn't find what you said condescending at all. It's your honest opinion and feeling. In a lot of ways I agree with you. I do love Stephen King stuff and very particular horror things but I hate slashers personally. Except for Saw and Hellraiser. See? Particular lol

It's the paranoia that gets me. I refused to turn the lights off and even then I kept feeling like at any second something's going to grab me and scream YOU'LL FLOAT TOO Sophia Lillis was so awesome as Beverly. If you remember she was Doric the Druid in Dungeons and Dragons. I hope it's not too long before you react to part 2! And the upcoming prequel series Welcome to Derry, maybe?

Nathan Jasper

Have you done Carrie and Pet Sematary already? Those are classics too!

Hans Engelen

Thank god, it was never meant that way so I was quite taken aback someone chose to read it in that light.

John

Loved the reaction!

I'll have to add this one to my watchlist, just to see the reaction to my favorite line in the film: "Wheeeeere the FUCK are her legs!?". His delivery, the fact that that's what he's concerned with, and the terror of it all just combined into comedy gold for me.

I'm watching this not of my own will lol. My therapist has told me to watch it, because I watched the original when I was a kid and have been traumatized ever since lol. Hopefully watching it along with you guys will help :D

MaplenutsReact

Oh my gosh!! Okay, I super hope watching with us is a better experience for you ❤️❤️❤️

Michael Short

Turns out, not as scary as I remember it being (probably because I'm not a child anymore lol) not sure if it's just that this version is less scary than the original or not. :)
