Spooky Season is here! 🎃 We're kicking things off with the horror comedy, Army of Darkness! We both really loved the Evil Dead movies, and so many of you recommended this one too, so how could we not! For the rest of the month we've got lots more fun, scary and utterly terrifying (at least for me haha) movies, so get ready! 🦇🦇🦇

Will you be doing the newer ones? Evil Dead 2013 and Evil Dead Rise? Also I recommend the further adventures of Ash in the show Ash vs Evil Dead. Just 3 seasons, short show!

This movie is so fun. I went as Ash for Halloween a few years ago. Whole get up with straps, blue shirt, S-mart name tag. Also made the Necronomican to go with the costume. Old science textbook from Goodwill with all the pages replaced with the ones from the movie, stained with coffee and created the cover with liquid latex, tissues and paint. One of my favorite props I have made. Wish I had kept it, but gave it to a friend who loves this movie. Thanks for watching with us!

Next up, "Ash vs Evil Dead"... three short seasons of the same insanity, picking up with this version of Ash, just a little later in life and with a much bigger budget. Not quite as slapstick silly as this one, but they bring back the over-the-top gore from the first two movies plus a lot of world building.

A buddy of mine in college used the “boomstick” speech Ash gives as an audition piece for some one-act plays we were trying out for. And he did get a role! 🙂 And Chandra, given your enjoyment of Sam Raimi’s work thus far, can’t wait for your MCU journey to reach the next Doctor Strange movie, directed by Raimi. 😃

"Now listen up, you primitive screwheads ..." Life has given me far too many opportunities to use that line. Bruce Campbell rocks. For more mainstream fare he's a great cast member of Burn Notice as Sam, the burned out former agent giving his friend Michael a hand from time to time.

Theatrical version is not on AppleTV or Prime where I am. I’m Dead! 😵
