From my perspective I think that last scene with her and Gook Doo was less about their relationship and more about how she saw herself in the past as oppose to now. She always thought she had to be someone else other than herself and hide her strength to be cute and pretty but now she should know she's already cute and pretty just the way she is. So maybe more of a self-esteem/love yourself type message?
