For all Killing voice videos, the top is the title of the song and the bottom is the album title, you should be punished for comparing Delcalcomanie to country genre, that's shameful; that's actually Windflowers chorea that Wheein and Hwasa are doing; and personally 4th gen are just as efficient at singing live as 3rd gen, people just like to hate a lot on 4th gen for some odd reason when it comes to live singing and performances. Also the first song Mr. Ambiguous was Mamamoo's debut song in 2014 and their first few title tracks are similar in style along with the B-sides.

Loved your reaction, and yes I agree that older acts do better with live vocals and I think it has to do with their abilities but I also believe a big part is their experience. The newer groups might not be as comfortable with it as they haven't been around for as long. I also believe there is a difference in what kind of content is normal for groups to post. Earlier it was a lot more focused on vocals and also performance, but the newer groups have a bigger focus on performance. I also think there is a difference in the kinds of songs being put out. A majority of the newer songs, especially the hit songs are not as vocally focused and a lot of them use a lot of autotune. I don't mean that they use autotune because they can't sing, I am referring to the use of autotune to make different effects in the song and get a different sound. I am sure there is a different name than autotune, maybe voice manipulation but I think you get what I mean.

You're absolutely right about older groups being better at live vocals for the most part.

Adella Neal

Oh BTW I heard that Hwasa was actually sick with a cold for this performance which is why she seemed to be struggling with some of the vocals. So considering that, I think she still sounded amazing! So professional.

Adella Neal

Thank you so much for reacting to this!! I really wanted this one. Okay Taeyeon & Ailee!!! Please, please, please their vocals are amazing!

I agree. 2nd and 3rd gen were def better vocalist, it's unfortunate that these companies don't put effort into singing lessons into their new groups.

Alayna

I suggest day6 or iu killing voice!!

Bobbie

IU! And Gsoul 🥹 you gotta check them out.

Bobbie

Wait… I just realized you don’t know Mamamoo’s early stuff. Omg you gotta see it! They used to be more jazz and electro swing inspired! Then at some point they became more pop but it was their pre-debut/debut stuff that made me a big fan of them.

rae

the last year the real LEGENDARY groups were active before 3rd gen took over

Bobbie

Yesss! I always called 2015 the perfect blend of 2nd gen and early 3rd gen because everyone was still active back then. And I’ll never forget the back to back girl group songs that came out summer 2015 either.

Adella Neal

I haven't watched theirs yet but I like them too so I might have to check that out tonight. And how could I forget about IU! Shame on me.

The first time that I heard "I Miss You", was on Queendom. I've been a fan of that song since.

I love MAMAMOO they’re such great live performers and I really recommend watching their performances on Immortal Song, they really showcase their vocal talent there!
