Bris before the next episode I wanted to explain the beef. New Zealand royal family is the new gen (young girl) of RF where as Australia team is like literally the MAIN core members of RF at their prime time (including kirsten). Basically Paris was the leader and she had a left and right hand. Kirsten was left and kaea (red hair leader in AG squad) was the right plus most of the other AG squad members were main members of the RF prime era. If kirsten had to join the show. She would've defs gone with team Australia

The way Danica was ROBBED, I agree with energy and performance being an advocate for winning, but only when you pair it will dancing, Gabee didn't show any impressive moves, Danica was very technical and kept her composure and realness to the song while Gabee done her different approach to the song.

Nah Aaliyah from AG squad is a baddie, nothing is too harsh when it comes to street dance fighting, so her attitude is perfect for this show, love her, if you get sensitive in these environments then battling ain't for you!!

I agree, I enjoyed Gabee in s1, but to come back and do the same thing is crazy work lol. Also, it was organized at all, I wished Danica won, because my attention was definitely on her. And I hate the camera wouldn't show her either.

Honey J is my girl! I got see her perform during Jay park tour and the way I was filming her more than Jay lol. But, she was using same moves from 1st season and Marlee just killed it. I wish they showed more of Team USA, it looks like they were one of the winners after the 1on1 battles.

Nah man Danica should have won this and if this was an actual dance battle she most definitely would have I can assure you that. I love gabee but Danica gave us all the technique and Gabee close to none and in my opinion what she did was giving "oh shoot she's obviously better than me so let me get people's attention of of her so that they won't notice". As someone else commented before me, yes performance is important but only when you've already shown that your skills are on par with your opponent's so you need to do more to actually win. At the end of the day this is a dance battle not a performance/attention battle

Also about Aaliyah I honestly also got turned off by the way she was talking about Aiki like I know that is the whole point of the show and it doesn't usually bother me but I just feel like she was doing a bit too much there lmao. But I have to say I still feel like she danced better than tiki during this battle

Not true at all lol. You can win with so many other facets of DANCE. Yes being technical is one of them. At the end the day it's a "BATTLE". You have to get the crowd on your side. This is not JUILLIARD. Again it's a BATTLE. What Kendrick Lamar say.... "They Not Like Us" lol jkjkjk. But it's a feeling and a vibe check, MOST won't get it.

Bris maybe you’ve understood me wrong hahaha, I’m obviously not saying you have to be ONLY technical, but it is definitely one of the bigger building block and comes before “performance” even though it is important as well. I’ve been dancing ever all my life and seen countless dance battles irl and online but ain’t never seen anybody win by doing what Gabee did. Yes it is entertaining and people laugh but at the end of the day if you ask who did the better dance they’ll choose the other person because she didn’t show any dancing. Also Gabee just didn’t show us anything new, this is basically the same thing she did 3 YEARS ago which is why I was also a bit disappointed.

EXACTLYYY like you said she basically was relying on the crowd to win. And Danica showed so many moves that are typical of the Heels genre while Gabee was just doing random moves most of the time, it wasn’t even Heels dancing anymore, just movement while coincidentally wearing heels atp. (+ she copied a move from Danica which would have also gotten her minus points in an actual battle) if she had just danced a little more she could have had a fairer win but she didn’t. Worst part is I’m sure she could have done more cuz she’s actually a good dancer

@Noura It's dope that you're a dancer. You will judge dance from that prospective more stricktly. You might have a bias towards technique. I'm the consumer, from my pov Gabee won because of the entertainment, which is a valid way to win. I do agree we have seen Gabee dance like this before tho. But even the Judges gave a descripition on how they would be voting. Listen to what they said.

@lex Look I agree, Gabee did not have the better dance technique. Gabee did play the game tho. She called her out and tricked Danica into a "heel dance battle" but Danica should have read the room and known she got tricked. Even JYP said Danica won the "heel dance battle" but not the "dance battle". Gabee's battle knowledge shows why she won. Life isn't fair so why would a battle be?...

I have listened to what they said and what I’m gathering from that is that they also think Danica did a better job but at the end of the day this is not an actual dance battle but a show catered to consumers, as you put it, who don’t have the same standards as people from dance scene. That is why I’m saying in an ACTUAL dance battle she wouldn’t have won although I accept that she did here. That is also why you will see actual battlers with years worth of winning streaks come on here and suddenly lose to a person who hasn’t battled a day in their life. That is also what had been happening in smf and you noticed it there too. They love to chose the one who had a better performance over the one who had the objectively better dancing

Of course! I love debating. No hard feelings, ALL LOVE. Dance Battling is a "Hip Hop" thing. So in the spirit and rules of battling, this is an actuall dance battle. Danica got bated and tricked and people feel bad for her, I get that. But battling ain't for the weak, don't get ate up that's it lol

I'm on the fence about Gabee but I'm not complaining about her win. As amazing as Danika was, like she showed what a real heel dance is, Gabee is a seasoned SWF dancer. She knows what the judges want, what gets you the win! It's catching their eye, doing that one power move, it's making the other person invisible. She did that. So she won. It's disappointing when someone who does technically so much better is outshined, but it is what it is! I can't lie though, it was hard watching her dance, like I legit paused the screen to free myself from the cringe LOL

I wish they brought Kirsten or other Jam girls butttttttt they can't. Kirsten is from New Zealand but she isn't in Royal Family anymore. So she can't join Royal Fam which represents New Zealand, but she also cannot join the ex-Royal Fam girls cause they are representing Australia. Same with Ling. Latrice is from Australia but was never in Royal Family. Audrey is american, never was in Royal Family. Emma though... she is from New Zealand and apprently in some Royal Family kids crew, they could've brought her.

I feel like I was expecting to much from this season. Season 2 was just so good when it came to battles and actual moments that it now being season 3 I was expecting a lot. Especially because of the dancers that are on the teams as well (I am a huge fan of the og royal family and Rie Hata) but I think the only truly memorable ones where Lip J vs Ibuki, Kyoka vs. Rie Hata, and Marlee vs. Honey J. I am excited to watch the rest of the season but I wish that Mnet actually gave us more memorable battles in the actual episode rather than put it on youtube.

I also wanted to talk about how I also wish they gave us more dancers with different styles of dance since there are so many genres. There were so many Hiphop dancers and I felt like there is such a big community outside of that as well. Belly dancing, popping, locking (It is so fun to watch in battles), and so many more. I keep on asking for a lot lol😂 but the one thing I did want was either an african team or indian team than two japan teams. I am indian and biased because their are so many amazing dancers there.

Lastly I wanted to talk about the comments and stuff and I agree with you Terry on the Aaliyah comments they were cringey coming from a girl who hears all this type of stuff in the east coast. I think she did go to far with the buying followers or the having to do so much because that kind of diminishes the actual hard work and enjoyment people get from the app like other creators don't spend 3 hours on just one video or editors as well. Looking pretty isn't all that but again I do understand cause that's just how a lot of people talk here so I would assume it would be no different in Austrailia. It is a show with evil mnet editing and often always has that one villain of the season. I personally like her dance style maybe we will see that latrice and redlic duo come midway 😂.
