Idk why we wouldn’t include TWICE when they are apart of the big three and have tremendous amounts of achievements of any group out there. Like they are on a record breaking tour and been together for 10+ years. Many cannot achieve what they can do

Yuna

Stray kids did not debut 2 years after bts more like 5 years their time line is crazy lmao

i mean they haven't achieved on the level that the two mega groups did. They had the potential and were the top 3 during their peak but they lost the momentum so bad. They lost almost all the grip they had in SK, part of it to blame the company. Also not pushing them at the right moment and to the right places, caused them to drop. They were doing stadiums last tour but now they mostly doing arenas (plus stadiums in Japan coz they big there). It's pretty clear they couldn't get past the ceiling that the other two broke. They are famous and legendary for sure. But, numbers wise it's pretty sad (of course they are big in number of albums hence the accumulative sales).

From 4th gen. It's pretty clear from the boy group side. It's Stray Kids. Then there's a subsequent gap between them and the other groups. TXT, Enhypen, and Ateez have the potential and they are doing good as well. But Stray Kids have left that level 2 years back. They last tour was record breaking and among the top tours in the world overall. They have the album sales record as well. Only behind BTS and SVT. For girl group side, it's still not clear. NewJeans was undeniably the undisputed before 2025. They would hv been on a massive world tour by now breaking records. But anyways, other than them the bar is subsequently low compared to the boy groups. Now it's Aespa vs IVE vs others. But as i said, if we see through the world scale the bar is low. From 5th gen. For boy groups, it's looks like a competition but in reality it is almost already decided. Cortis is leading by miles when it comes to numbers. Lngshot has potential but i hv to see the numbers for their 2nd major project to confidently say anything. Domestically in South Korea, it looks like there are other players in the mix. Like BND, TWS, etc. But I am focusing on overall world scale. Also, not taking into consideration that the SM and YG might release new boy groups this or early next year. For girl groups, it's a different scenario in every statistic. But, major players are Babymonster, ILLIT, and H2H. But in reality the scale is tipping between two major players only - Babymonster and ILLIT. Babymonster is scaling rapidly and on a whole diff pace than others. They already in for their 2nd World Tour this coming months. And this one is a true world tour - consisting of Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America, and Oceania (Australia + New Zealand). For ILLIT, they have their foot down on the streaming numbers. They continue to release songs that automatically go onto charts and trends. So, these are the major players, as of now.
