seungeon the crazy good singer was from a group called EVNNE but the rest were from ZB1

The members that are still in zb1 are members that were signed to wake one from the beginning before they were even zb1. So they stayed zb1 with wakeone because those are wakeone trainees. The other members came from different companies and auditioned on BP so when they won, they won a temporary contract for publicity basically. They were in zb1 to promote themselves and gain a following. now that zb1s contract ended their company wanted them back since they've acquired a popularity and wakeone can't really do anything about it since those aren't their trainees. Im not that knowledgeable about the business side but this is basically why after the contract ended they split and the wakeone group still uses the zb1 name. hope that helps.

Zb1 contract with wake one expired. Just like they do with all their temporary groups. Matthew, Hyubin, Jiwoong, and Taerae renewed with wake one to stay as zb1 like how Kep1er did but we still don’t know if they’re going to be permanent. Since Ricky, Gyvin, Zhang Hao, and Yujin were apart of the same label (Yuehwa) they went back to their original label. Along with Seungeon who was part of the group EVNNE. He also participated in season 1 of boys planet with the members. He was the one doing all the high notes we heard. Amazing addition to the group.

One member seungeon the main vocal was in the boys planet group evnne him and another member(who didn’t debut) was pulled out with zb1 members sad but good ass songs lol

Just a tidbit but technically only taerae was in wakeone while Matthew and gunwook just signed to them after renewel, hanbin and jiwoong are still with there old companies while doing zb1 now too, just yuehua not letting the other ones do it
