Idk if it’s just me, but RIIZE debuted so strong and had such a distinct identity. Lately, I feel like they’ve kind of lost their colour or direction? I can’t really explain it, but their influence and presence just don’t feel the same anymore. They’re still incredibly talented and some of their songs are really good, but something about their overall image and impact has decreased so much, which makes me sad. It’s kind of reminding me of ITZY’s decline, where they started off with such a strong audience but gradually lost their influence

As someone who doesn't listen to them, from what I've heard and seen, I also cannot figure out their style. All I know is they dance their asses off.

In second gen, we used to get a lot of lyrical choruses, third gen you had a lot of empty choruses, and in fourth gen it went lyrical again, but fifth gen, very repetitive choruses. It definitely has to do with tiktok, trying to create an earworm, something that'll trend. There is overlap of course.

Yeah it’s sad honestly cause they were pretty big and was one of the ones that had a big audience from the 5th gen. But ngl I think really not producing or cooperating with production of music or team colour/image really makes riize lose their colour unless they stick with a distinct image like red velvet, nct, and aespa have. It’s not about the music style or clothes but more giving off their vibe/image even though they are still discovering and trying different music types.

ITZY's identity never changed. ITZY is about self-love, and they can do any concept. Lyrics of their song, old and current, reflect that, with the outlier being Loco and Mafia..

yessirrrr

yeah itzy still has their identity. I mean their influence in how they were the leaders of that gen and all of a sudden it went down

You should check out nmixx's latest comeback heavy serenade!

love riize, but they need to go back to that house music sound like impossible, cause personally that’s their best title track/sound!

you hit the nail on the head. the song was written entirely by tablo of epik high’s 16 year old daughter and its her first ever song. so yes it is nepotism lol. the album is really good imo tho.

Sm does this so much. I hate it, it sounds like the nct songs that I skip
