Maybe what you said about taecyeon( the guy in vincenzo) was right but also one of the members also played a role in it. Junho's fancam went viral few months ago and it put their old song back in the charts. Plus with got7 out, they would probably want to promote 2pm as they are already really famous in korea

2PM announced they were gonna make a summer comeback like back in January I think but the timing of Vincenzo and their last comeback, My House, going viral again recently really really helped!! It can be pretty tasking for a senior group that just finished military service to comeback strong when ageism is so rampant in Kpop. I’m definitely loving the excitement surrounding 2nd gen groups this year ^.^ the song, the m/v, the looks.. I loved it all. I always loved 2PM for their masculine style and sexy music 🥰😂 I still need to check out the rest of the album tho. And their stage performances. I’m behind so I don’t have much else to say about the comeback lol 😅 along with Taecyeon.. Junho, Nichkun, and Chansung are also actors :)

i think it was pure coincidence that taecyeon aka babo did vincenzo and the 2pm comeback plans back to back, luckily the drama contributed to giving much more appreciation to their new song. But as mentioned by others, 2pm's 'my house' song became a huge hit yrs after it actually came out due to one of the member's (named junho) fancam which made the group n the song viral again, which now is their biggest hit. So maybe u could react to it. This comeback is rly chill n mature vibes, probably due to them getting older too (in their 30s now). But they were actually known as the 'beastly idols' of kpop, unlike many other groups they did acrobatics and rather looked manly and super ripped, they were on front covers of magazines with their six packs and everything ahaha. Their debut was a hit called '10 out of 10' with jay park, as well other hits like 'again and again' 'heartbeat' 'i'm ur man' 'adtoy' 'hands up' 'go crazy' so u would see that they actually did hardcore concepts. They slowly progressed from doing hip hop, fun, sexy styles to now doing mature sounding songs and choreo ( compose their own songs too. ) Also their vocals sound quiet and unique becoz they were taught my JYP in person to have jyp's signature 'half air half voice' vocals. Jyp's artists now like twice aren't so influenced by jyp himself so they dont sound like the older groups of jyp like 2pm, rain, wonder girls and so on. Your fav dude Taecyeon is from boston by the way and is the rapper of the group (this comeback didn't do him justice tho sadly), he was known as the hottest male kpop idol of 2nd generation, another dude called nichkhun from 2pm was known as the best visual of kpop and was nicknamed 'Thai prince,' also cos he was the very first thai idol in kpop and was just really handsome lol. They were legendary, their songs are kinda guilty pleasures now and could be cringe to newcomers but still so catchy. :)) I wrote too much but Taecyeon was my first bias in kpop and 2pm is also one of the very first groups I stanned back in 2010 I think, so I'm just thankful that so many people are giving love to the group again <3

I think on some level this was a successful comeback because of taecyeon’s role in Vincenzo. But also keep in mind that 2pm is superrrr legendary especially in Korea and this was a comeback that was anticipated anyways since this is their first comeback in 6 years after everyone has come back from the military! Plus it’s really interesting to see them all together doing a full-fledged comeback and promoting together since Taecyeon isn’t even signed to JYP anymore. Love the reaction! You should def check out more of their older songs!

For as long as I’ve been watching kdramas, I only just learned right before their comeback that some members (Junho and Chansung) been in at least 4 or 5 different shows I’ve seen recently. 😂 Junho (the one holding the girl on the side of the building) is my dude. He can act his ass off. Also: —Wooyoung (who imagined the chaos in the mv) is the guy that visited Stray Kids during practice on an episode of Kingdom and gave them advice. —Chansung is the one hitting the notes you tried to sing. lol

Now come on Bris 2PM is famous not bc drama lol. All of them are just finally done with military to do grp album again. A few do do Kdramas though Taecyeon, Junho, Changsun, and Nickhyun I know more so than other 2.

You should check out the k-drama Let's Fight Ghosts. Tac (the bad guy of Vincenzo) is the main character. You'll definitely love it. You should also check out Junho's drama called Good Manager. He was the one who caught the girl from falling from the building. He also plays a "villain" but his chemistry along with the other male lead is LITERALLY gut busting with laughs!!! They're both on VIKI as well! :D
