There's a bonus scene after the preview for the next episode

Ivonne Martinez

I hear there are people still gathering signatures to cancel this show. Damn if only they would have just written it exactly how the history was told this wouldn’t be happening. Poor Jisoo.

Ivonne Martinez

If you like the plot of this show you should watch Youth Of May. So good loved it

Idk what I'm missing.. people are upset that the intelligence agency are being portrayed as good guys even though they were the people that beat up the protestors, they are the actual bad guys in history. Well back then media was being controlled, people didn't know the exact number of student deaths and made it look like they were killing soldiers and cops. In the show, jisoo's character's brother was a protestor, so we know she is on their side. We have to wait and see what will happen, how civilian opinions will change. They won't automatically look like the bad guys in the first 2 episodes. I think the bigger problem is that because the students were called commies, but the male lead is an actual North Korean spy... but I'm sure it gets deeper! We have to wait and see.

idk why u did this but this drama is not okay loving jisoo is another thing than supporting this drama koreans r hurts even the victims spoke up about how ugly this drama to them everyone included in this drama is dumb bc if the victims think this is not okay who are we to judge them? and we r not koreans so we can't say a shit about their history but bp stans refuse to understand the victims pain just for achievements that how bad the world we live in

Lamiah

i hope no one takes this offensively but honestly it’s just a show based on fictional events that didn’t happen if they made that clear why petition for the show to be canceled? that’s a lot of peoples hard work and jobs that will be put at risk all for nothing that’s just my opinion and i wanna see how the drama will unfold it might surprise people

Lamiah

just like in the beginning of the show says it’s all fictional

ptch

I dont get why people want this show to be stopped, because it is still a Drama and as it says at the beginning It´s NOT real. I get that there is some history behind it but the actors put in a lot of hard work into this drama and the dramas purpose is to entertain people and not serve as a documentary or a lesson for history. Its actually really good so far , and we dont even know the full story yet, we´re only 2 Ep in.

Yusra

r u korean? do u know their history? then why r u mad about them wanting to cancel this shit?even the victims spoke up about how they're making the NSA looks good when the killed and tortured many people and the main lead was killed by them why u want to silence the victims when they say that this drama is destroying everything the fought for? just bc yall want to have fun and enjoy doesn't mean the others have too suffer for ur enjoyment every actor need be embarrassed bc if they acutely wanted to share the story then u should have met the victims and talked with them for permission who cares about fucking romantic story when thousands of people died in the real story nothing is fictional about making the NSA a good thing and destroying the freedom the protesters fought for

Yusra

i studied history for many years and the thing that happened in that period is terrifying and no words can describe it they tortured people in ways no human can imagine it with fire chemicals until they died or killed themselves so making a romantic story about the victims pain is ugly and pathetic especially when most of the victims r still alive

I started watching but seeing these comments… lemme say something before I continue watching😅 It seems that this drama is facing the same controversy Mr. Sunshine went through. People thought Mr. Sunshine was a pro Japanese drama due to a character that was part of Musin Society (similar to Yakuza). So they sent in a petition to the Blue House regarding historical inaccuracies just like they are doing now with Snowdrop. As Mr. Sunshine went on, the controversy pretty much dissolved because people started to realize it is NOT a pro Japanese drama. Although… it should also be stated that they did tweak the script a little for that character they found offensive. And Snowdrop doesn’t have that choice because filming has ended. The 80’s are a very sensitive time period in Korean history because they were fighting off dictators and militarized governments. Many protesters were tortured and died fighting for democracy. So script writers always gotta be extra careful with this time in particular. JTBC said that we just need to keep watching Snowdrop because the negative assumptions people have for the drama will be explained later since they cannot give spoilers. There’s also a lot of misinformation going around about this drama with just 2 episodes out and it’s causing even more issues. At the end of the day, it’s fiction. It’s not a documentary. It is a work of fiction based on historical events. But I do understand that people would still like it to be accurate because dramas are a lot of people’s introduction into Korean history and culture and not everyone is like me and will research the truth later. It would be a real pity if it gets taken off the air because all that work would be gone and Jisoo will have a tainted acting debut :/ if anything… Youth of May is also a good drama that takes place in 1980 during the Gwangju Uprising.

Okay! I’m on board as well! Totally looking forward to the next episode! I was really sucked into this drama. The dorm parts are my favorite!! I didn’t go to an all girls school but I lived in the dorms at my university and it was sooo much fun!

Alicia

You’re weird. You’re lying to people saying even tho we’re not Korean and don’t know anything we should respect peoples wishes but then turned around and said you studied history for many years. Which on is it? Y’all think everybody has to do what someone says. The director literally stated many times that IT WAS NOT REAL AND THAT IT WAS A DRAMA so why y’all still trippin? Especially you who’s not even Korean! It’s giving follower

Dream4lifee

This episode was so good and I was happy to see some actors I knew from my fav dramas, The King: Eternal Monarch, W, and Romance is a Bonus Book and I can’t forgot the male lead is from While you were Sleeping another one of my favorites

Don´t try and twist my words, because first of all i never said im Mad that they want to cancel this show, i just don´t get it and neither do i want to silence the victims who are standing up for themselves because of course they have the right to do it, especially if it makes them uncomfortable. What im trying to say is that people think this Drama serves as a documentary for what happened which is obviously not the case. This Story is Fictional and it was they clearly stated that way. I get why people get personal feelings about this and especially if they were part of the sad history and im not saying they´re not allowed to. But as the director and many others are trying to explain that it is only on the 2nd Ep and things will change and will be more realistic. Anyway Youth Of May is one of my Fav K-Dramas, it has 12 Ep in total and it´s really good.

NinaM

I really like it I think that Jisoo is so cute and I like the storyline. Looking forward to the rest.
