Sansa heard someone knock on her door, and without looking up from the huge stack of papers piled on her desk, she motioned for them to come in. She heard the door open and close again, but she remained focused on the paperwork and only paused when she heard a very masculine and familiar voice speak to her.
“Too busy?”
Looking up, she saw Jon standing in front of her, giving her a slight smile. Setting her pen aside, she replied.
“Yes, but I’m almost done. Your wife helped a lot.”
Nodding, Jon said somewhat regretfully.
“I was told you two did most of the work; I’m sorry I wasn’t of much help.”
“It’s fine. You fought and killed that monster while I was hiding in the Great Hall with the rest of the women and children. I’m happy to handle all the paperwork and leave the fighting to you and your Dragon Queen.”
“I’ll gladly take that deal,” Jon said with an amused smile before taking a seat across from her. “I also remember doing tons of paperwork during my time as Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. It was by far the worst part—that should tell you how I feel about ‘paperwork.’”
Sansa stared at him for a second before they both broke out laughing. Regaining her composure a bit, Sansa looked at Jon with a smile before pointing out.
“You seem to be in a good mood. I assume the meeting with Kinvara went well?”
“It went much better than we could have imagined.” Jon replied with a hopeful smile. “Kinvara said that it might be possible for Daenerys to have children. It won’t be easy, and it probably won’t happen soon, but it is possible. And it’s all thanks to you.”
“Please, all I did was advise Daenerys to speak with the witch who brought you back to life. I’m sure the two of you would have gone to her eventually anyway.” Sansa said lightly.
“Probably not; Daenerys and I don’t really trust witches.” Jon pointed out. “But she trusted your advice.”
“I’m glad she did,” Sansa said cheerfully before adding dejectedly, “I know I haven’t been fair to her…”
“Hey, that’s in the past now,” Jon said quickly, cutting her off. “Besides, Dany isn’t the type to hold a grudge. I think you should focus on the future. “I’m sure the two of you will become closer than you might think.”
Sansa nodded, falling silent for a second, pondering Jon’s words. But eventually he interrupted her thoughts when he asked her.
“So, the only thing left to know now is whether you trust her?”
“I’d be a real bitch if I didn’t trust her by now,” Sansa admitted with a sigh.
“Yeah, you would,” Jon remarked with a smile. Which earned him an angry glare from Sansa; the redhead didn’t hesitate to pout and say plaintively.
“I know she’s your wife, but don’t forget I’m still your little sister. An older brother should know better; you should be nicer.”
“I am being nice,” Jon said with a smile. “You two are very important to me; what I want most is for you to get along.”
“Well, it seems your wish has come true. I wouldn’t say we’re best friends, but I can understand why you fell in love with her. And as you mentioned, she trusts me—at least enough to let me sleep with her husband and have his baby.”
With a snort, Jon tells her.
“I never imagined I’d end up sleeping with both my sisters; Father and Robb would kill me if they were here.”
“Well, you’re not technically our brother—you’re our cousin. So, what we’re doing isn’t anything to get all worked up about, even by House Stark standards.”
“I don’t think Father and Robb would see it that way. Besides, I don’t think I can see you or Arya as my ‘cousins.’ You two are my little sisters, and I’ll always see you that way.” Jon admitted honestly before asking her. “Does that bother you?”
“Would it be weird if I said no? I mean, I’m not a Targaryen like you.” Sansa said hesitantly.
“Arya isn’t a Targaryen either, and that didn’t stop her from teasing me all the time, calling me her ‘big brother’ while egging me on to fuck her harder.” Jon pointed out playfully.
“To be honest, Arya is a little crazy.” Sansa said, to which both siblings agreed. Licking her lips, Sansa clasped her hands over her thigh and, avoiding his gaze, admitted with a blush. “I also like to think of you as my brother. For as long as I can remember, you’ve always been there for me, and ever since I found out your true identity. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about how things would have been if Father had been honest with us.”
“Do you think things would have been different?” Jon asked, to which she replied effusively.
“Of course they would have been. You would never have gone to The Wall, and I would never have gone south.”
“I have a feeling you thought about much more than just that,” Jon deduced easily.
“Well, as the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, you’d need a wife.”
“And who could be a better choice?” Jon said thoughtfully, before pointing out with a smile. “Maybe I could have married Margaery Tyrell.”
Sansa glared at him, prompting him to correct himself.
“Well, you would have been a better choice, but I don’t think your mother would have been very happy about that.”
“Maybe, but thinking about it just makes it more exciting.” Sansa said with a dark smile. Jon raised an eyebrow in surprise upon hearing her say that.
“I wouldn’t have known that wanting to marry me would have sent you into a rebellious phase. Your mother definitely would have hated me even more.”
Sansa laughed sweetly before gazing dreamily into the distance and saying.
“It’s a nice thought, what might have been.”
“It is, but the reality is that Father took the secret to his grave, I went to the North, and you went to the South. We went through a lot and lost loved ones, but now we’re here.”
“Now we’re here,” Sansa repeated, turning her gaze back to him and saying, “Thank you for accepting this. To be honest, I was a little worried you’d reject me.”
“Why would I reject you?” Jon asked incredulously. To which Sansa shrugged and said.
“I thought you didn’t like me, or that you didn’t see me that way.”
“Sansa, you’re one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen in my life; I don’t think there’s a man who could ever reject you,” Jon said with complete sincerity. “Besides, I haven’t told you this, but the truth is, I have a thing for redheads.”
Sansa smiled in surprise, asking him.
“Really?”
Jon nodded with a small smile before telling her.
“You can blame your mother for that; it was because of her that I started developing a thing for redheads.”
“What?! What does my mother have to do with all this?” Sansa asked incredulously.
“She may have hated me, but I definitely loved her huge tits,” Jon confessed.
