I do feel like One Piece has no room to breathe Post Timeskip. I miss the smaller moments and wish every arc wasn't a big blur of a war towards the end, but I guess that's the natural build up...

I feel like one piece and it's attempts at revolutionary messaging don't hold up when put into the context of Oda's stated political stances and the way they manifest in the work. I've been reading the series off and on since I was twelve and the more I think about the actual content and hear the actual ideals Oda expresses publicly (cause holy shit is that man sexist and almost comically fatphobic and transphobic). IT doesn't help my opinion of him that his buddies keep getting exposed as pedos but that's just the industry unfortunately.
