To be that dude..🤓☝🏿 Yeah she's the Guardian of Earth/that's her "planet" but Sailor Earth doesn't hit as well. Also lorewise (least via the anime..) for most of the first season she wasn't really considered "the leader" so it's used to make you think she IS lesser than the other four till the very end when it shows she's the Guardian of Earth and descendants of the Queen and yadda yadda. It's very much a little sister has grown up and become the best of us type of deal. ...I know enough more to make the Tuxedo mask shit okayish, but I don't know it well enough to explain it from my phone....pretty sure the anime aged him up cause they wanted him to ride a motorcycle a lot? And you had to be like 18 to do that? Idk.

It's based on astrology more than astronomy and the moon is one of the classical planets in that. There are sailor senshi for asteroids and the moons of Mars kind of. The author was making it all up on the fly it doesn't hold up to much scrutiny.

From what I remember he's only like a year or two older in the manga, but they made him a college student for the anime, lol.
