Sneak Peak Ch. 5.1 Fate: Charm of the Devil Fae (Patreon)

Before we start with the first incoming threat, we need to set up certain things, as I'm in the habit of making total AUs of my fic. As you may have surmised or maybe even missed, this world has HP wand wizards, Nasu magi, and HDXD characters, so establishing it is essential from the perspective of the reader. The world can be explored as we progress through the story, but another thing we need to address is our perspective on characters, as our main ones were raised in a completely different manner from canon. Sakura, while still tortured, suffered for one year compared to canon’s Sakura. Rin wasn’t alone this time, and not exposed to Kirei. Shirou still idolised Kiritsugu, but not in the same way as in canon, as he was mostly under the influence of Runeas and Vivian. Even Rias, who starts bratty, is different. 

I want to explain their quirks in a way that feels natural, rather than just dumping it all in an explanation. Also, take note I write in first person POV, take Sakura’s chapter she may have views that may not match reality or maybe she thinks it but acts differently, so take things with a grain of salt, like with her characterisation of her and Shirou’s “brokeness” there may be truth within it. Still, it also might be a mischaracterisation by Sakura, tainted by her chunnibyou sensibilities, as she casts EXPLOSION upon the world. 

Oh, and the first big baddie happening is something I randomly thought of, as I want to reduce the veil cast upon this Alternate Universe, where gods walk amongst the Nasuverse, and wand wizards can bypass any magical equivalence and do true magic. 

P.S. Sakura is not chunnibyou, and wand wizards can’t do true magic. I already have something that will explain this away using my meagre understanding of the Nasuverse.

So we’ll be doing Shirou POV first, then Rias POV, then finally a Ritsuka POV, before we get into the Asia Argento plot, and I just don’t want to go straight to Kokabiel, so there’s someone in the intermediary.
