Thank you so much for the support! I meant to do this at 25 subscribers, but I didn’t notice we’d already passed it—we’re at 27 now!

This is a huge help—enough to cover a month’s worth of food expense, even if no part-time work comes up. Living remotely means things are dirt cheap. So, you’ve significantly reduced my stress. However, I hope to return to a place less remote, as I haven’t really socialised in about a year.

The next target will be 50 Patreon subscribers. With that, I can subscribe to either Pixai or Civitai and Photoshop so that I can stitch together illustrations for each chapter, just like what you see in light novels. 

On top of that, I could also maybe make video/audiobooks of the fanfics to post on YouTube

. 

There are three things I’m really passionate about—or at least as passionate as someone like me could be—stories, food, and music.

At least, I’m doing one out of three for now. I still cook, but I don't really have the time for those experiments I used to do before, and don’t get me started on music—as I stare at my Strat in need of refretting and maintenance, untouched for months. 

I think the last legit song I learned was Tommy Emmanuel’s version of Blue Moon, or was it Remenissions by Avenged Sevenfold? I know the last one that I was learning was 40oz by Polyphia. Either way, things need to be relearned to play them cleanly.

The last food experiment I tackled was perfecting a stock for sinigang—a sour Filipino soup—and finding just the right spice blend for a caseless garlicky sausage.

“Patch Updates” + Announcements

So as you can see, “Releast that Witch… and Wizard?!” & “The World of Otome Games is Tough for Swords?”—KenSeka does have a nice ring to it, name pending, feel free to suggest—won the polls.

I won’t be adding any more to the roster—with a specific caveat that we’ll address later.

We have six stories in rotation, plus a main.

My main story is “These Tragic Souls and a Sword Reborn in an Intergalactic Space Opera.” I’ve decided to ‘full send’ the rewrite; no more updates will be made to the old version, though. Don’t worry, a lot of what’s written there is still relevant. I've found that taking it slow with the characters might be better.

This way, you’ll connect more with the characters, as you may not be familiar with characters from certain fandoms. 

If you are new here and don’t want spoilers, I suggest not reading the old version. I’ll properly label them within the week—hopefully, no promises. 

And as for side stories, we have Ending Maker: Fate Wizardry, Fate/Knights of the Heroic Throne, and The World of Otome Games is Tough for Swords?. 

While our R18 stories, The Metamorph Next Door, Release that Witch… and Wizard?!, Fate/Charm of the Devil Fae—please see below for something relevant to this.

Polls will now decide the order in which stories are written. There will be three cycles. Each writing cycle features a main story, a side story, and an R18 story. 

Each set of three cycles has four polls. The first pair picks the opening side story and R18 story. The second pair sets the stories for the subsequent two cycles.

You might ask: Why not just use one poll for each side story and R18 stories? Well, if everyone who voted for the first-place winner had actually preferred the third-place story as their second choice, the outcome would have been disappointing to the majority. Two poll batches help balance that.

And yes—side stories and R18 stories remain separate in the polls.

+1 chapter updates on Discord and public, +2 chapter updates on Magus and Caster Class tiers, and a +3 chapter update on Grand Caster tier.

I shall also put a poll up to determine which side story and R18 story is our pocket main, in case I ever get writer's block on the main story.

Every cycle shall have +1 chapter updates on Discord and public, +2 chapter updates on Caster Class tiers and a +3 chapter updates on Grand Caster tier.

With a caveat that, since Release that Witch… and Wizard?! has a plot, we can just fade it to black during sex scenes.

Every few cycles, I’ll post a Patreon-only poll for Short fics, one-shots, crack fics, and plot bunnies. Each winner gets just one chapter and can be updated in the next round of Patreon-only polls. 

Once the total amount of these chapters reaches a multiple of three, Discord will vote on which one they would like to gain access to. 

Then, for every three on Discord, one gets updated publicly.

Fate/Charm of the Devil Fae

I’ve reread this multiple times—well, I’ve read everything numerous times, because I do enjoy my stories—I think we need to give this story the 'These Tragic Souls' treatment as well. 

Unfortunately, I think it needs a rewrite, make it slower paced, get to know the side characters, establish the main characters first before we get to the plot of Highschool DxD, still a lot of fucking. We can still use the same intro, perhaps refine it further, but we’ll start either in the final year of high school or maybe close to the end. Reminder: we've turned Kuoh Academy into a University instead of a high school, and perhaps I’ll make Rias less bratty or something?

Note: Typically, students in their final year of high school in Japan start at 18.
