What's up with the lyrics? I'm glad you asked! I felt like I needed to further clarify a theme within this song that's kinda the heart and soul of Fangs! but with all the psychedelic sci-fi ancient ruin flare got a little buried on the album. Maybe at this point the occasional added and shifted lyrics within this reimagined track still might be convoluted, but I have something soon to be released that I think will make all of this come together a little more clearly! Sorry if that still doesn't answer any questions, but for the time being enjoy the song!Lyrics:I have found gears under the water, Cross the streets of Acheron, To the docks that tilted up toward the linesI have felt these motions sync together, We both have seen the Center Light, The Moonn* from each two shadows on our two sidesHave you forgotten me for flowers in your hair? Still, I hold you closer,Have you forgotten me for flowers in your hair? Still, I need you closer.I have found seas under the floorboards,Stood above the wooden planks, Crossed the Wandering Walls to find none of their wars.

By far my favorite Falling Up song. This is the song that sold me on the shift in tone with Fangs! So thankful for this and the commentary.

Fangs! was so special for several reasons. I recall not knowing what to make of it at first, but I'm pretty sure this was the song where I really started to "get it" so to speak. I'll definitely be mulling over this rendition for a good while. And now I'm super curious what the future holds!

One of my favorite Falling Up songs! I think about the chorus way too much, and I love this new version of it! (I'm crying)

Excellent!!! Also crazy how such subtle lyric changes can significantly change the emotion of the song!

We can only hope that an EP or perhaps even an LP of these reimagined songs would be made available. Each one has been revelatory and shows Jessy’s soaring talent and imaginative ability to recast these songs as entirely new pieces of art. And that’s what I tell every single person that I introduce Falling Up and Jessy’s music to. It’s music of course, but ultimately it’s works of art. It moves and uplifts, it transcends the here and now and I’m grateful for that moment in 2004 when I heard my first Falling Up song on that lonely road in Hawaii

Well, I guess I'm voting for the rest of Fangs! from now on, this is phenomenal.

Easily one of your best songs dude

Didn't know I needed this. Love the new one and love mulling over the differences.

Fangs is a masterpiece I must admit I do struggle with some of the lyrics. Even in the context of a fictional story (maybe this is an allegory of some sort) sometimes it is hard to sort of sing along with certain lines. It would be very welcomed to have Jessy’s context on these. The other song on the album where the vocal is “oh my goddess” is just a bit challenging to have running through your head - maybe with context of the story it will bring greater freedom to seeing the whole picture. I’m sure not everyone feels this way, and admittedly one’s beliefs play a role. I could get into a lot of theory on naming things and such, But that would be too much to write .. oh one last thing - somewhere I read online that fangs represented a fictional way to convey the bands experience with the “music business”. Not sure if there is any truth to that, but that would kind of be awesome

Great work the original is my fav song of Fangs, but I do miss the Golden Arrows.

Wow. Of all the reimaginings thus far, this was among my most leery. And you crushed it
