The last few weeks have been tough as I've been recovering from losing my voice. Smack dab in the middle of putting the finishing touches on TCAA. Just my luck. But it kinda comes with the territory of making an album -- there are often delays and unexpected events. But ultimately it makes coming out on the other side all that much better! So because of that, I felt like a softer version of Intro to the Radio Room would be a good balance for a reimagined track this month since my voice is on the mend. Our kids have an old Yamaha YPT-200 that they are learning to play music on. I kind of got sick of some of the synths that I've been using for years so I decided to borrow it to see if I could find a few unique sounds on it. I put a microphone up to the speaker instead of going direct, then ran that mic through an EL Distressor and pushed it to the limit. And so that arp synth you hear throughout the track is from that old 90's YPT-200. I would like to possibly extend this track and do some additional vocals on it when I put all of these reimagined songs on a release. But for now, I hope you enjoy it!

Ugh 👌 one of my favs from Hours, love this softer version

Tim Powers

I love the original - what a great sound to soften it up! Amazing :)

Alexandra Yarrito

I love the almost lullaby quality to this version. The other one feels more urgent and determined in some sense, and this one is much more comforting in its softness, with a dreamlike quality like what’s described in the chorus. I really enjoy the differences between the two!

Chris Savage

This is now the definitive version for me.

Tim Powers

Plus an album of all of the reimagined songs was mentioned, yay!

Zach Hitt

I’m dying of a flu currently (not literally). This is like a lullaby

Jonah Smith

Oh my goodness! This is stunningly beautiful. Definitely my favorite of the reimagined tracks so far. :)

The way the hair on my arms stood up as the chorus started...amazing work!

Aliyah Marsh

This made me cry! So beautiful. Will this be made available on Spotify as well?

I can't get enough of this. It gives me a "somewhere over the rainbow" vibe, if that makes sense.

Phillip Mayhair

It’s official. We need a Falling Up lullaby album! This 35 year old would fall asleep to it every night.
