Finally some decent news!

After weeks and weeks of responses, Patreon has come to a conclusion. That conclusion being that Ashley is perfectly fine as long as I change her breast size or her outfit.

So, I'll be changing her outfit.

Good news first. Since Monday, I have begun remaking Ashley's events (good thing they approved the outfit!). By me remaking almost all of Ashley's events she appears in her old college uniform, this means visual and animation upgrades will take place in areas necessary. Here are some examples (excluding NSFW) (I'm unable to show Befores)

Now on to the bad. Ashley appears in her college uniform a lot, so there's a lot of work for me to do. I can't give an exact estimate on how long until v0.6 will be available on Patreon, or when v0.7 will begin development. I would estimate v0.6 (which includes Ashley's remake) will be available here on Patreon in 1 - 3 weeks.

Excited to see what the next update brings! Can't wait to read the events!

Justinian77

Awwwww she's still so cute!!!

Sentry

So patreon now can say what kind tits you can have? There millions of women with a cup tits. That just nonsense.

Runey

Essentially, smaller breasts + school uniform = bad : smaller breasts + casual wear = good : or, bigger breasts + school uniform = good. I didn't want to change her physical appearance, so I went with the outfit.

Sentry

Yeah awesome idea. I didn't know that school uniform is prohibited product for small breast women, I just see more and more that patreon behaving like a god, there is nothing that can stop them from creating any dumb rule, next time they can forbid lesbians or red hair. that's shame that some of good creators loosing their support because of them.

Allen Lewis

So Patreon doesn't believe that A cup adult women exist? Perhaps they should visit a strip club, they will find that many dancers are only A and B cup

Runey

Patreon made it pretty clear to me that flatter women are fine. The issue is flat women + school uniforms.

DA22

Considering the fact school uniforms are obligated in quite a few countries or school systems, and in quite a few countries people do go to school to ages up to 20 before starting University. I would bet there are a lot of flat chested women in school uniform around in this world though. :P

Runey

I brought this up with Patreon, they stood their ground.

DA22

Yeah their pov is not based on reality or common sense, but on a fear and certain worldview and the idea that everyone that looks young is underage. Not keeping in mind that sometimes people have a personal dress style. I knew a woman that always dressed in 50's US college style and she was in her 30's. :P

Tu

lame... at lest its resolved. Well, at lest for now anyway zzzzz

Steven Wargames

Just throwing idea out here maybe cut her from the patron version and have her in the free version it would suck for people that support but maybe it be less work? I don't know how much it would change for the amount of work you would have to do to make it patron safe? I don't code so no clue if it would be a good idea?

Xypher

But is the school outfit allowed to remain say as an optional feature for her wear except in events?

fnF9

Glad to hear it's been resolved, good news for sure! Bummer to hear about the extra workload tho, but I gotta say, the new look is cute af!

Ali Stone

Love the new look! I'm sorry to hear you had to go through all this bureaucratic red tape, not to mention the headache of now having to change a bunch of existing scenes, but for what it's worth I'm not going to miss that college uniform one bit, and I think the alternative you came up with is great.

Dubsington

Well, crap. Her uniform was hot as hell. You made the right decision and are doing the best you can, though. I'm somewhat disgusted that a chunk of all the money I pay you creators is going to paying the salary of an idiot who goes around dictating shit like this.

srksrksrk

Unfortunately, this is in line with laws in many countries, like mine. Underage porn is not only when the actors are underage, but also when they look like it, and definitly when looking like it is intentional. I know that means that women who are of legal age but look underage may have a hard standing being an AV actress, but that's how it is...

srksrksrk

Question: Do you plan to finish the game with the 1.0 version, and will this version be the 4th to come (meaning 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.0)? Or is this not fixed yet?

James Cunliffe

I'm just waiting for the day when some 20ish A-cup women who looks like she could still be underage decides to create a adult game using pictures of herself as the lead character and is told she cant use those pics because they go against their policies.

Lostngone

Can’t you just make it part of the story when they check into the hotel they have to show a form of ID with age, etc. You could even store the virtual ID’s/paperwork in a virtual filing cabinet so they can download the game and virtually check to make everything is on the up-and-up?

Runey

It's impossible to prove the age of a fictional character. You have to go on looks

Willerz

Why did you have to change her uniform ? i don't get it

Runey

Game versions don't typically work like that. It can end up that 10 updates is the final release, but it usually takes however many updates to reach a 1.0

Runey

Basically small breasts + school uniform = bad small breasts + casual wear = good or big breasts + school uniform = good

Willerz

I didn't know it was a thing lol, still weird imo

Quickpawmaud

seems really dumb why all of a sudden?

srksrksrk

After you knock on their door and hang out at the beach with either Felicity *or* Emma, you will end up having sex with Felicity (if stats are high enough). Should it not be Emma if you hung out with her?

Parcel

Morgan, yeah pretty sure it's just you. Or probably not *just* you, but the vast majority of patrons clearly like the current Ashley. If she has to be changed, I'm very glad for the direction Runey decided to go. And he definitely shouldn't compromise his vision for one patron.

Parcel

This whole thing must be such a pain in the ass for you to deal with. I've been enjoying HH for a while, but just became a patron as a show of support since you're dealing with this bullshit. Glad it turned out better than it could have.

Runey

Thank you so much! Yeah, this whole thing is a huge hassle. Remaking all these events definitely harms motivation, but I'll get through it. Delaying v0.7 is also a huge bummer.

Lewis Mackenzie

take it easy runey we can wait for v.70 take your time

Summertimefan

So dumb. So did they think her tits were too small? That seems like a strange thing to get hung up about.

ZaweRD

Freakin Patreon going with their bullshit again. Omg i hope some new platform with donations will rise , so we can abandon Patreon with their cuck rules right away.

Runey

The issue was her small breasts along with her uniform. Those things together were a no-no. She could be mistaken for under aged without any context that way. By changing her breast size or by changing her outfit, you wouldn't need the context.

Quickpawmaud

Do black people exist in this universe? Black women are hot I would request you add one in.

Pedro Gomes

Hey brother, nice to know you're back to work, but I know it's early to ask but some time estimate for 0.7? another question is about the elfs that appear in the last lin campaign scene, you might have to buy them?

Inceton Games

Hi, are you maybe interested in some cross promotion? If you are shoot us a mail at: inceton.games@gmail.com

Reddy10

because paypal

Allen Lewis

How do I unlock Lucia's 2nd scene? The prompt says to ask a friend.

Runey

use the code: truestory

Bunduru

Hahaha! This reminds me of the Iranian morale police of vice and virtue, who polices peoples speech and behaviour and “indecent” subjects. Seriously man, Patreon needs to die. If you have a subscribestar account I’ll be happy to support you there instead.

Runey

While subscribestar may be more lenient and understanding on these things, I can totally understand why anybody and everybody would want to distance themselves from a character that could be questionable, which Ashley could be without any context. With this new outfit, Ashley is far less questionable.

Roger Roger

how do you get the password for kali's pc?

Mud

Sucks that you have to go a change every thing as that seems like a lot of work but glad you where able to find a solution, and gotta say i really like the new outfit

Soda

i always get stuck on meeting android it dosnt let me continue

Soda

nevermind

Soda

quick reply awesome and great game so far

Harold Harold

I can't wait for 0.7 well done Runey

Absabsa

Sylvia best gal ... but i cant afford her 😭

sith

How can't you afford her? o.o The bar makes tons of money.

Irreverent

How much are you making from it? I've got everything for it and the story is done, and I'm making $200-$300 a week? That's 50 weeks at this rate. I'm wondering if there was something I missed because it seems like a really low income for it.

Pedro Gomes

But can you buy elf now? I started the game in this version, so I do not know much

Runey

When you attempt to buy the Elves, it should say "Coming Soon" or "Not yet implemented". The Elves should be coming in v0.7, but I haven't been able to plan almost anything out yet with this whole Patreon thing, and remaking all of Ashley's scenes thing.

Absabsa

Just take your time ! Your game is beautiful ! And Ashley's story is very sad, i love her !

Absabsa

Pedro you can only buy Lin's sister for now ^^

Matt

I love your game one of my faves by far thanks the hard you work you do to make it this awesome :)

Runey

Thank you so much!

Delirium

Is this update the same as the version posted online. I feel like I've played v.6

Delirium

PS. Love the game.

Yeeeesb0x

is there femdom in this game?

Runey

There is some, but not too much of it.

Yeeeesb0x

u should make femdom character i will pay u more

Runey

My issue with including a femdom character in Harem Hotel is that this game revolves around you having a harem, and a woman who is meant to take charge doesn't really fit into the theme.

Yeeeesb0x

you can be the master and make the girl domme you to indulge your perversions;) there are many ways to do it but follow your heart my friend

Rachid Heuberger

Hey Runey. Really want to give you a big thanks. Last Erotic game I played was about 13 years ago. Sexy Beach. After that I never took interest in those games anymore. Last year some podcast mentioned Erotic games, and that many have a patreon page. So I started looking into it, since I am already using patreon. Found your game. Downloaded and tried. And damn, got me hooked really fast. After that I tried many other similar games, but not one was as good and as cool as Harem Hotel. You are a great creator! Keep up the great work. And really, thank you for many great hours of fun :).

Runey

Thank you so much!

Matt

Do we have a time frame on when the next update is ki

Matt

Really excited for it

Runey

As this post says, v0.7 has been delayed until v0.6 is finished, which will be 1 - 3 weeks from the posting of this post.

Te1emachus

So ... school uniform are not okay? Really?? ... could we get a discrete mod for it? (he stupidly asks on Patreon)

Runey

Patreon has made it pretty clear that school uniforms are fine. But school uniforms on a smaller breasted woman is not okay. I wont be making any mod to include old content.

Vilexa

I keep getting an error message during the first bar scene

Runey

What's the error?

Mr H

So... Small breasts = Good College uniforms = Good Small breasts + College uniforms = Bad !? !? !? Seems pretty arbitrary, especially considering that real life underage girls can have DD breasts and real life grannies can be flat chested. Would Patreon not allow you to have a flat chested granny in a college uniform too or is this a completely arbitrarily applied rule? Seems like it would be a little insulting to small breasted women too. Are you sure that this isn't just one rogue employee who sees themselves as the decency police? Were you able to appeal this idiotic decision to someone higher up who doesn't have their head planted firmly betwen their own buttocks? At least this is finally taken care of. I definetly think you made the right choice between the two they offered you. Good luck with all the work Patreon piled on you and keep up the good work!

Runey

A flat grandmother in the school uniform would be fine because she's obviously over 18. And that's where the problem lies. Ashley, in her school uniform, isn't obviously over 18. Some would say she's questionable. Patreon doesn't like questions.

Jared

This is also considering that it's a COLLEGE uniform. I don't know about in other countries, but at least in the US that generally means 18 or older (with the exceptions being the really smart people that are able to skip a grade or something like that). Of course that involves rational/logical thinking, and Patreon has shown their ability to think that way is lacking. That said, it could help if you add the typical disclaimer that many do at the beginning that says that all characters in the game are 18 years of age or older.

Runey

That disclaimer has been in the game since v0.1 ;) Right when you start a game, it shows up.

Te1emachus

Seriously?!? (about their policy. No pro on the old content mod)

Mr H

So in the context of the look of a woman's face it would be OK, but in the context of a COLLEGE uniform and a story that has her in COLLEGE, also the fact that the game has a disclamer that says that all characters are 18+ it's not? Sounds pretty arbitrary to me and to equate breast size with age is a little sexest too. Don't take this as an attack on you. It's just that all these stupid rules that Patreon comes up with are very frustrating as you probably know more than any of us.

Jared

You're right. I saw it again after checking again. I missed it the first time. I wonder if they did too. To clarify further then, I think it would help if it was separated out like the one saying that you acknowledge that you are 18+ if you continue, and not in a list of things like tips and hints.

BigNTall

It also says throughout the game that she heads to "college" . Patreon just wants control as usual. What is disgusting is they use it to blackmail. The whole incest thing for instance. Patreon put up a disclaimer when they started saying nobody under 18 shall enter a nsfw site. They allowed for whatever. Then out of nowhere they took that option away. I have a few dev friends that just left Patreon. What isn't realized is why Patreon is doing this. They have to cover their tracks somehow. Patreon is doing this because they have not been following their own rules. They have been working with twitchtv to get women as "underage" cam girls. If you don't believe me, head on over to twitch and look in the "just chatting" section. Twitch is supposed to be a gamers site. It has turned into a hidden cam girl site now. All I say is make a patch for everything because Patreon won't be backing down anytime soon. Do that or start your own website. I love this game and will support you in your decisions but heed what I tell you. Patreon will not be getting any easier...

Mr H

Hey Runey, I just found out about <a href="https://subscribestar.adult/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://subscribestar.adult/</a> . Subscribestar looks basically exactly like Patreon but a section specifically for adult content and apparently with less restrictions on content than the prudish Patreon. Check it out.
