Update 23+24 (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

vote for Update 23 was won by Bulgaria+ and Türkiye so it will be done for this update.

In Update 22 will be added Bulgaria, USA, Chile (reworked), Sudan (reworked), Finland+ (added missing things in season 2026), OONCACAF Fix (if testing will go well) and updated Denmark+.

• Bulgaria - added level 3, added changes in format that happen between level 1/2, added Amateur Cup, reworked youth system, corrected rules/finances

• USA - added levels 2/3 (USL Championship, USL League One, MLS Next Pro), added youth league (MLS Next), there are two databases where one copies how things are in season 2025 and one like in 2026

• Chile - added League Cup, added new format of level 3, added new format of Super Cup, updated rules/finances, added possibility to start either in 2025 or 2026 season

• Sudan - added format based on season 2025/26 (there is still civil war so some things are still based on how things were before war)

• Finland+ - added missing teams/cities/stadiums in levels 4/5, added possibility to start either in 2025 or 2026 season

• CONCACAF Fix - fixes correct qualification teams to competitions, fixes that teams that are in those cups cannot play any matches in league

This week is full of problems and practically everything I was working on had some kind of issues. First is USA, wherer I had to divide each season formats to different databases, I had it in one, but because of how MLS works, first season is always simulated so it always cancels the start of 2026 season. In USA are added two USL leagues + MLS Next Pro and MLS Next.

Bulgaria has changes in number of teams in level 1/2 with little change of formats. Added is level 3 which has 4 regional divisions, it is configured more flexible so each league can have more or less teams (like in reality). Added is Amateur Cup which is played by teams from level 3 and some teams from level 4 (in reality teams from level 3 have to play it and from levels 4-5 they can play it). Reworked is youth system where it is made with U18 teams and with 2 levels. Corrected are player rules and finances.

Originally Chile should have been only updated, but there are bigger changes that needed more of a rework. Newly added from 2026 is League Cup, which is played only by teams from level 1, problem is that there is no calendar for it so some dates of matches I had to guess. There are changes of how seeding for continental cups work, but I still work on them and I'm not sure if it will work correctly how it should, because it is again kind of complicated mess. New format in 2026 has level 3 which is now divided into two groups and have two phases. Added is possibility to start either in 2025 or 2026 season.

Sudan is reworked to have format of 2026 season, where league has two phases. Normally three clubs from Sudan play league in Rwanda and they have here only reserve teams, but because of the correct continental seeding these clubs play only in Sudan in FM.

In Finland+ are added missing things from season 2026, added is possibility to start either in 2025 or 2026 season.

CONCACAF Fix should fix the Central American Cup and both Caribbean cups. It looks like I have finally working prototype, still missing League Cup, but I hope that everything will be fine and ready.

In Update 23 will be added Türkiye and Bulgaria+ (full pyramid), Türkiye is kind of troublesome with the format changes and Bulgaria+ is very big and it will take lots of time to make, so I'm not really sure if there will be time for anything else. My original plan was to make it with next FM24 update but because both of those things are kind of troublesome in a way, so this will be delayed for one week. I finally have practically finished the big FIFA National competitions rework, where practically all national team competitions are rework from scratch in a way that you can add more teams to each qualification with addition of U17 tournaments, but I will talk more about that next week.

Voting for Update 24 will have India (level 4), Australia (level 4), South Africa+ (level 3), South Korea (with added format changes from 2027) and Brazil+ (adding Serie D + all State levels + youth systems).
