This week is divided on working on multiple nations. Belarus and Russia are the final two nations from Europe. There is still no way to add Russia to european competitions like in FM24, there is another way where Russia is swapped for example with Andorra and that way Andorra would be out, but I want to wait until the national teams patch, if that will change something.
In Russia are added levels 3/4, both have not game friendly system, where level 4 is played spring/autumn and in level 3 there is twice promotion/relegation in one season, this of course is impossible to replicate in game, so it had to be simplified. Completely are reworked youth leagues, it is again kind of complicated but based on documentation M-League is U21 competition that is played by U19/U20 players, it has two divisions. YFL is U18 level 1 league played by 16 teams and UFL are regional leagues U17-U15, which in game are replicated with U18 teams. I'm still working on Russia, so I still need to check if the player rules/finances are correct.
Belarus is another country with complicated level 3 system. It is divided into 7 regional leagues (which they are not in the database) + reserve league, all teams from reserve league and best teams from regional league go to Final stage, where there is group stage and knockout stage, where top 3 teams are promoted, reserve teams are promoted only if in level 2 is less than four reserve teams, if there are four teams then there should be playoff match between the worst in level 2 and promoting from level 3, yes it is complicated and again impossible to replicate it like that. Right now everything is working but without reserve league which is seperated and teams in level 1 will automatically get team there if they don't have it in level 2. I have few ideas how to implement the reserve league to the level 3, so I will work on it over weekend. There are some special rules with foreigner players and local players that are corrected.
Indonesia is one of the Asian nations that is officially in game and there was a lots of things wrong or missing. Added is level 3, Indonesia Cup is moved to start in 2027/28 (where it is planned it's return), added is Piala Presiden Indonesia which is pre-season cup for best teams from country, reworked are youth leagues where level 1 is changed to have format from 2025/26, added is Soeratin Cup which is U17 cup for teams from the whole country, corrected are player rules (there were very wrong)/finances.
Malaysia is same as Indonesia officially in game and again there were some things wrong. There are some changes in number of teams, where level 1 will probably be played with 14 teams, it's hard to tell, because teams are withdrawing from level 1, because of the finances, but that's what with I worked. There are two invited teams in Malaysia, in level 1 it's DPMM from Brunei and in level 2 it's Seoul Phoenix FC from South Korea. Updated are Cup formats from next season onward, youth leagues are updated so they have same format as in 2025/26, corrected are finances/player rules in leagues.
Last from Asia is Singapore, where are added levels 2-4 (full pyramid), normally there is no promotion/relegation between levels 1/2, so there is special version with promotion/relegation. There were again some mistakes in finances/player rules which are corrected. Updated is Singapore Cup with 2025/26 format being used, added are both lower league cups (Singapore FA Cup + Challenge Cup), added are 2 levels of U17 leagues.
Switzerland+ is updated with all the changes that were made for FM24 version.
In Update 28 will be added Latvia+ with added level 4 (last level in pyramid) with adding all missing things and expanded youth leagues. In Update 28 I will be continuing my work on Brazil, where I will be trying to add all of the missing things and I will look at some missing nations from Africa.
There are some changes from 2027 in Argentina level 4 in the Federal part, where it will be normal league and system that is now level 4 will be moved to level 5, so it is a good time to add level 4 to FM24 and FM26, the Federal level 4 will be only the final National Stage (still played with more than 300 clubs), because qualification for this stage is from around 80 leagues, which are not in database and information about them is not that good. But from 2027 there will be change to new format (based on information that is avaible).
Voting for Update 29 will have Custom Nation for FM24, India (level 4), Belgium+ (level 6), South Korea (with added format changes from 2027) and Argentina (level 4 for FM24/FM26)
As always thank you for your support and I wish you nice weekend :)
