Update 33+34 (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

vote for Update 33 was won by Portugal+ (level 6) so it will be done for this update.

In Update 32 will be added Belgium+, South Korea, Suriname and W Suriname.

• Belgium+ - added everything around level 7, added regional youth leagues

• South Korea - added format changes from 2025-2027 in levels 1-4, updated rules for leagues 2025-2027, updated format of Korean FA Cup (from 2026 played autumn/spring), added Korean Super Cup (it is revived from 2026), possible start in both seasons (2025 or 2026), updated youth league

• Suriname - added 2 levels + cup

• W Suriname - added level 1

This week the work is divided between Belgium+ and two nations that are in some way complicated.
But first in Belgium is added level 7, added are missing teams/cities/stadiums, again in this level is used period system. Promotion/relegation in regional league is more flexible, but that is impossible to make in FM like that, so it is little bit simplified. Added are regional youth league so now every region has it's regional youth league.

Suriname had some changes in their system, where old level 1 (Eerste Divisie) was moved to be level 2 and newly created Major League took level 1 spot, in original database this is not replicate at all, but I will prepare plus version database that will replicate it. Another change in Suriname is change of format to autumn/spring. Major League has the most insane format for level 1 league in whole world, where there is used period system and championship playoff, level 2 had some missing teams and it has normal format, there is no information about promotion/relegation, but for better gaming experience it is added. I had to move little bit schedule of SVB Cup but format is the same (group stage -> knockout phase).
Added is women's side too, which has only league with 9 teams.

South Korea is one of the licences leagues, so I was very curious about how SI added all the format and rules changes, results are: league format changes: none, cup changes: none, rules changes: yes but half of it is wrong, so typical lazy work by SI.
First is that you can start in both seasons (2025 or 2026), added are all format changes in levels 1-4:
K1 - 12 teams (2025), 12 teams (2026), 14 teams (from 2027)
K2 - 14 teams (2025), 17 teams (2026), 16 teams (from 2027)
K3 - 15 teams (2025), 14 teams (2026), 14 teams (from 2027)
K4 - 11 teams (2025), 13 teams (2026), 14 teams (from 2027)

In 2026 Gimcheon Sangmu if it is in K1, it will be automatically relegated in that season like in reality. There is format change of Korean FA Cup, where from 2026 it is played autumn/spring (like in Norway/Belarus), where winner will go to continental cup of that year. Super Cup was revived after 20 years in 2026, so from that year is again playable. U18 league was reworked so it have similiar system like in reality but with 30 teams (so all teams in level 1-2 have team there). Updated are player rules and finances.

In Update 33 will be added Portugal+ and it's level 6, it will be first part of recreating the whole pyramid like in FM24 (where is all adult pyramid with regional cups and youth pyramid with youth regional cups), with that will go to Update 33 one of South Africa or Egypt and Cape Verde/Mayotte/São Tomé & Príncipe.

Voting for Update 33 will have Malaysia+ (level 4), Ecuador+ (level 3), Bolivia+ (level 2), Finland+ (level 7) and China+ (level 4)

As always thank you for your support and I wish you nice weekend :)
