Update 42.5+43/Update 93 (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

vote for Update 44 is still going until next Friday, right now Italy is first with China+ and Netherlands in second place.

In Update 42.5 will be added Azerbaijan+ and updated Slovakia+.

In Update 93 (FM24) will be added Algeria+, Eswatini+, updated CAF Continental competitions and fix for African Nations Cup.

Update 42.5:

• Azerbaijan+ - added missing clubs, cities, stadiums

• Slovakia - Czechoslovakian history - this file will add Czechoslovakian history (if you will not use Slovakia+)

• Slovakia+ - added Czechoslovakian history, added more lower Slovakian lower division history, added some new teams to database (mostly teams that are promoted to level 6 for 2026/27 season)

Update 93:

• African Nations Cup fix - qualification is now played with reserve teams, so you will not get million angry emails from players that are not based in nation (because only players based in nation can be nominated, but players outsided of nation are complaining anyway)

• CAF Continental Competitions - updated prize money from 2023-2025 and from 2026 forward

• CAF Continental Competitions + Youth League - same as the file above with only change is added CAF Youth League which will replace CAF Super League that is played only in 2023/24 and disappears afterward, each winner of nations youth league qualifies into this cup + 7 runner-ups from some countries, it has similiar system like CAF Champions League and added are some prize money

• Algeria+ - added level 3, added missing leagues/teams/cities/stadiums, added youth leagues

• Eswatini+ - added level 2, added future changes in formats of level 1/2, added missing teams/stadiums/cities, added youth league, added awards, added extinct cups and it's history, added rivalries

This week is divided into multiple things, the main is Spain+ and level 7 where I started working on it, it has more than 60 divisions so it's quite big and I'm still adding missing teams in database and adding teams to correct divisions, but it will be finished next week.

In between Updates 42/43 there is 42.5 where is Azerbaijan+, added are missing teams/cities/stadiums, it was little bit difficult because lots of teams in level 4 don't have "their" stadium but in FM you have to have one, so I gave them the ones they played most matches on.

Another thing is adding Czechoslovakian history to Slovakian teams. This in FM works just bad, best thing would be to have it under "Czechoslovakia" extinct nation, but if it is like that, it will not show anything in game, but when it's under Czech Republic or Slovakia, it i will show the history only in teams from that nation, that's why it has to be done twice. Added is history of level 1 from 1948 to 1993, between 1938-1945 Slovakia was independent nation that joined Germany and they have their own level 1 (which is added). only between years 1935-1938 played slovakian teams in national czechoslovakian leauge, between years 1918-1934 they played only in their regional league which were divided into slovakian and hungary sides, here it's little bit more complicated and I'm still adding this time to database. Added is history of second level when it was just slovakian side (from 1970-1993) and some history to level 3 (from 1982-1993). In modern history is added all known history in level 3 (1993-2025) and some in level 4. Now I believe lots of teams have more depth thanks to adding lots of history which I still plan adding even more, because it's something I really like and I can talk/write about it for hours.
Added are some newly promoted teams to level 6 in season 2026/27 as preparation for FM27.

For FM24 this time is added for me personally very important thing and that is African Nations Cup fix, because without it being a manager of nation from Africa is pain, because qualification for some reason is played by "A" team but the tournament by "B" team, the tournament is only for players that are based in their nations, so you can't take players from Europe, problem is that if you don't nominate them for the qualification, you will get like forty emails of angry players with "why you didn't nominate me", when you can't nominate them based on the rules. This was something that always made the african nations unplayable for me, but thanks to this fix, it will never happen again.

Another Update is for CAF Continental Cups (Champions League, Confederation Cup) where prize money are updated, for some reason in game hey have 2022/23 amounts even though from 2023/24 were rised, now updated prize money are from 2023/24-2025/26 and again they bigger from 2026/27. Everything is done so coefficients and qualifications work normally without problems.
In version with CAF Youth League is CAF Super League replaced with Youth League. Super League was played only once in 2023/24 and nobody is remember it/missing it anyway, so I changed it Youth League. It has similiar model as CAF Champions League, all nations have at least one team in this league (winner of their national youth league). It is made as U20 competiton and added are some prize money.

New plus version is made for Algeria+, which is actually in scope of changes/missing things big as Burundi+/Morocco+/Mauritius+/Seychelles+ combined (which were made for last FM24 update). There is lots of missing things and after adding more information to all teams it looks/feels really good.

Another new plus version is Eswatini+, here is added lots of more things, added is level 2, all missing teams/cities/stadiums, added are rivalries to teams (no team have any), added are awards to competitions, extinct cups and their history, all know history of level 2 and youth league.

Both Algeria+ and Eswatini+ will be added with Spain+ in Update 43.
