Round of Updates [11/18/2023] (Patreon)
Content
OBR updated it's SDK, and that's usually a good time to do a refresh on everything.
Clash!
I added in a roll history log here. (Click show roll log.) So you no longer have to depend on using Rumble to see your rolls after you've done it. Useful if you just don't want the chatlog around, or just want less extensions about. Or want to use another chat/roll program!
Rumble!
Some major tooling here. ALL rolls (Preset rolls, /roll commands, /brp and /coc rolls) should now appear as 3d dice. No more pure-text-only rolls. It never bugged me, but some people just like seeing the rocks go. Though, there's no HIDDEN ROLLS now. It'll stay that way for a bit till I find a clean way to put a toggle somewhere. That interface is busy. (Maybe move the roller stuff to a popout menu..?)
Also the mini-view for when someone rolls should be a bit more in-time with everyone else (depending on their connection). Less you seeing the results before everyone else does.
And lastly added support for other OBR devs to send messages to Rumble's chat log, and also send in rolls. Type /connect in Rumble to see how.
Marked!
I.. don't think I did anything here this time. I might work on context embedding for removing a click in the process of putting on a label. Mostly waiting on an OBR update so I can go back to using the labels with the little tails before I make over this one.
Scry!
Removed the dependency on LocalStorage. 'Vanished' items now save to the SCENE. So you can refresh to your heart's content and the item should still be there.
That said, you should remember the things you vanished because you won't SEE Them unless you SEARCH for them. So be cognizant, or use 'ALL' when searching to see what that scene has.
As a reminder, this uses your OBR storage. It'll be a very minor dent, but if you decide to Vanish several thousand things you may start to notice an increased use in storage.
Also, added a control for the GM to disable player usage. This was mostly to account for player's being able to randomly search for Non-Hidden-But-Maybe-Under-Fog items and know about them. Now you can just stop them from using it when you don't want them to.
Disabling their view of things directly under fog is a maybe-for-later item, but I'm not sure if it would slow down the snappiness of search if it has to do the extra calculations to check where fog is.
Smoke & Spectre!
Mmmf. Fixed a bug when updating fog color that caused OBR's rate limit to get hit.
Also did some heavy work on Spectre's resilience so that it now keeps track of Spectre'd items even if you refresh. You can also click a Spectre and turn it back into a regular item now, too. So it should be pretty safe to use overall. I'm pretty happy with this one, as I've run a game on my own recently with it and had a lot of fun gaslighting players who tried to convince their companions something was there. Also added more to the player-end, so they can see which tokens they have ownership on (a requirement for the extension if you want vision that way.) and a help button so they can try to solve their own issues.
Ticker!
Not much here lately? This one was a very simple extension to begin with at the behest of some Shadowdark players. The timer should be more accurate. And fixed a minor issue with the timer not resetting after Dinging.
PDF!
This one is pretty much complete and there isn't much for me to maintain here unless there's a styling issue I don't know about on some random browser.
Flip!
I lifted the restriction on Bind It - you can now Bind just about anything, as long as it's on the same layer and is an image. (So no Text.) Should make for quicker Map swaps if you don't want to use 'Replace Image'.
Chronicle!
I'm still working at this! It's .. a lot. And the most work I've put into any single extension so far. So, hope people will like it when it's out there.
