Render Notebook #2 - Using more Characters, effects, and making a BIG scene (Patreon)
Content
Hello Everyone!
Another Render Notebook, as ideas and choices keep popping up. Honestly, making these seems kinda like therapy of sorts. A little break from the work of... Well, everything that I make.
In this batch, we have:
Luna Snow with the White Fox. With the former thinking 'What are those?'
Steve/Natasha, making James Rogers?
Meli-Meli in a time of calm.
An Imperial Guard's worst day yet. But a Space Marine's typical Tuesday.
Small lore piece. Leyndell under the Veiled Monarch.
For these, what was most challenging were:
Wet skin effects. Most of the characters I make have Geografts that get in the way; luckily, I learned a means to bypass them by mixing some surfaces and using a droplet prop.
World effects and light sources from objects. Lights from objects are quite performance-heavy at times. I usually replace them with ghost lights, which I think are a better source of lighting in many cases.
Mutiple/larger amount of characters per scene. Because of the high quality of a single DAZ model (Especially G9), having more than 2 Characters per scene can cause more lag. This can be somewhat fixed by hiding as much of their bodies as possible, so that the program doesn't really need to render them.
Hopefully, these little tips can help everyone here on their journey of rendering like me. Be it in DAZ, Blender, Unreal, etc.
As usual, I will mostly do this randomly. And if you have a suggestion, drop it in the comments below. :)
Enjoy. :D
