Over 200 years.

That was how patient Queen Marika was in allowing her Champion to be Consort of Queen Rennala. Afterward, an uneasy peace settled in and almost became commonplace.

Yet it was not of her design; she simply used it as a way to improvise. For Radagon’s marriage to the Carian Queen was his first sign of defiance, a feat she did not think possible. In a way, she was almost proud of her other self for being more independent than expected.

And from this, three Demi-gods rose from the line of Rennala. And an Empyrean in the form of a daughter. An honest error on Radagon’s part, for the Greater Will would never allow another Empyrean that was outside its control.

With a single command from the Outer God, Radagon returned to take his place as Elden Lord, and she sent Godfrey away from his loss of Grace. A move that almost cost the Lands another war, were it not for the efforts of Peace, made by Rykard, kept from prying eyes. Replacing the broken vows of Radagon with another, more convenient one that Caria wanted.

Hence, it was an unintentional move that rid Marika of the Threat that was Rennala. The Carian Queen fell into madness upon hearing the news of the Twin’s birth.

Was it cruel? Yes.

But Marika did not care. Not anymore.

At least her Champion was back at her side. And for him, she would offer the greatest award for the bittersweet victory. One achieved without lifting a finger.

Herself, of course.

He could not resist.
