I feel like I've taken a big step in figuring out how to make nsfw comics in a way that I like >:) having those in-between text only panels so I don't need to draw every in between moment- but can still keep it sequential feeling- is very helpful.
You'll notice when I do my sfw comics there's always something extra going on and they're usually moving around the room or messing with props, because otherwise I start to get bored haha. I think this is a nice way to keep it...snappy.

I do need to start working on patterns for backgrounds... definitely not a strength of mine ;) I'm a very messy artist, but I love the idea of 70's patterns being backdrops, they're really charming.

I don't know how aware everyone is, but there's a big movement to pressure payment processors into changing their adult policies. stjohnstarling made a really good document outlining what's going on, and heres some steps you could take if you want to join in. Letter writing is a good option if you're call averse and have some spare stamps! I've been talking and sharing more on bsky. There's a lot of people there sharing their experiences calling, to help people know what to expect! I've been taking the angle of...your policy is bad and it's a violation of freedom of speech/expression, because as far as I know, they didn't actually change policy to cause all this. I believe they were pushed to pay attention to sites/content that were sliding under the radar previously, by right wing groups. Even if you think that things that they don't allow (eg. n/oncon, inc/est, b/eastiality) deserve to be banned, I am already toeing the line on patreon with very mainstream things like my half bull character, captured by tentacles, aphrodisiac, etc. It's bad.

Relating to this, I've been thinking of doing a Eugene strip game like Taylors with a goal to unlock the next image, with certain actions having point values. (Like a call being x points, a letter being x points, etc.) Eugene has so many layers to remove :3c...
I am absolutely affected by these restrictions and its so unpleasant to live in a state of uncertainty about my career! Will nsfw be allowed at all in 5 years if we let them squeeze the walls in like this? It feels better to push now, rather than when it's too late. At the very least, it will let them know that if they do make a move towards further censorship, we won't take it sitting down. They've been making headlines for censorship, and it's been quite heartening to actually see results, and they will not be happy about the bad press.
