The Beta Phase: Special Edition with audio dialog 4K (Patreon)

Six years before the first Abby’s Aquarium story, a corporation gives four women a lesson in submerged R&D.

Update: Naked Bravery II is almost done and will be published in one week. The end-of-the-month special, “The Sinktember Games,” has been written, and production started on it yesterday. I won’t lie, though. Even after cutting out multiple scenes, this one is going to be bigger than I’d thought, and finishing it all by the 30th will be very, very difficult. If it’s impossible to finish on time, I’ll pause production and pivot to another episode of Natural Blonde Diver, or something similar, so we have something special at the end of the month, and then we’ll have the Sinktember Games a week or so later. I’ll have a better handle on the schedule next week, so stay tuned for more news.

About this piece: Personally, I felt The Beta Phase was the strongest story we had last year next to Artificial Oblivion, but I always hated that the dialog was done using subtitles only. I do wish the re-edit of this one had gone a little smoother, but the underwater scenes are untouched, and the dialog really brings the characters and story to life. I would love to go back and add dialog to some of the other films from 2025 if I can get faster at it, but I also don’t want “re-do” projects like this to eat into the production of new films—especially with how crunched time is these days.

To everyone who has written recently, thank you for reaching out! I promise to get back to you all as soon as the dust settles around here. For now, I’m off to stir up more dusty clouds as I race towards the end of the month and beyond—we’ve still got Halloween and Christmas specials to do as well!

Until next time, enjoy, be safe, and be well, everyone!
