This fight in the anime is extremely confusing. I'm pretty sure that they cut and changed a lot of the details of the fight. There shouldn't be any regeneration effect at 30:33 and D (the fake Sakurama) should be holding the arm of the real Sakurama the entire fight. They planned to trick the Blue guy into thinking that they didn't switch by having real D holding Sakurama's real arm, while D's arm is tied into the branch. This episode feels very rushed since they adapted 7 chapters into this one. I think it's probably best to read the manga section of this fight, which should be from chapter 8 to chapter 12.
