going off what you said about his mom being so involved. this series isnt just praised as the best for its main couple or how it builds the main two. its more that every single character that is named is worked on. given time, moments, and progression. you will absolutely see every single character get a focus at some point in the series

what i love about this series is i not always about Rintaro and Kaoruko. we also get to see Rintaro and his family (i feel so many romances forget about the parents) And we get see Rintaro and his relationship with his friends
