It is generic but not at the same time. It is a weird feeling for sure.

For some reason everyone had the same reaction to this episode, saying it just felt really nice. I enjoyed this episode so much, it just felt so lively and different than most isekai's. This shit had me grinning half the episode i enjoyed it so much😅

WarriorOfLight

I also feel like they can do a later reveal of the exact number of years he spent in this world.

12:41 the dragon commented on the mc's staff and said oh the fairy king must have taken quite a liking to you.

I don't remember any information saying that magic is new to this world. Fake Michael said 20% of humans could use magic. Abel said it was 50% of people even in the central provinces. The subtitle said "people", but the Japanese was the word for "human". Still, Ryo also noticed the discrepancy, so maybe there is more to it. Ryo can use magic the others didn't think was possible because Ryo didn't have many preconceived notions about what he and magic could be capable of, and he had a lot of time for trial and error.

that is why I said magic is in its infancy, because Ryo was doing REALLY simple things with it (albeit they got more complex as time went on), and apparently nobody knows anything about that. and percentage wise if it's growing that rapidly, it was obviously just beginning with the 20%

This might be a spoiler idk it’s literally just a guess on my part, but I’m guessing the inferno magician is the guy who has a fiery hair effect in the opening, that or the red headed girl next to him.

I am not sure what you mean. I thought it meant that 20 percent of people in society can use magic at all, at any level of proficiency, or they have the innate potential to. (Or 50%, the two percentages being true at the same time because we are talking different populations for each statistic, regardless of whether it is currently or 20 years ago). Do you mean how much of Ryo's potential max ability or power has been developed so far? It sounded to me like you were saying in the video that people in general 20 years ago did not know how to use magic as well as they do now (improved knowledge and techniques), or that the number of people able to use magic changed over time, and/or Ryo has had time to surpass them, the latter part of which I agree with, because he is contradicting conventional wisdom as to what is possible.
